Palazzetto San Lio, Rialto

Palazzetto San Lio was a great choice. Only 7 mins walk from Rialto water bus station and situated in the bustling centre of Venice surrounded by myriad shops, supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is located in a beautiful old building right on one of the quieter canals. The building has a splendid, heavy old oak front door which opens to stone floors and a reception area adorned with antiques. The apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable and the shuttered windows opened directly onto the canal below. The walls were covered not with plaster or wallpaper but with tapesty – a woven cloth textile with a traditional Venetian design. The furniture appeared to be antique. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nothing, it's great as it is

Everything was perfect. The apartment was fantastic and kept us cool despite the crazy heat wave that hit Venice when we arrived. Alice was extremely helpful with helping us find the accommodation, checking us in, and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay, including providing restaurant recommendations, ferry directions, etc. The apartment itself was really beautiful, the location was walking distance to absolutely everything we wanted to do, and overall we were very sad when it was time to go. Thank you so much!

Everything was great. The only thing was the solid curtains don’t close all the way so the light came in as soon as the sun was up. But we all had sleep masks with us so it wasn’t a problem.

Hard to find upon first visit

It was close to Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square.

We booked 4 rooms and one of the room’s a/c was not working and the door handle was broken. They didn’t have anyone to refill the toilet paper.
