The location is absolutely perfect—very central, yet surprisingly quiet. The listing mentions that the Rialto Bridge is a 10-minute walk away, but in reality it took us only about 6–7 minutes. Having a supermarket right in the building was incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby. Elisa was an exceptional host. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, assisting with airport transportation, recommendations, tours, vaporetto information, and answering all of our questions about Venice. Her hospitality truly made a difference. The apartment itself was excellent and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated having essentials already provided, including kitchen utensils, soap, toilet paper, towels, and other necessities for the first few days. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was invaluable during the hot weather. Cleanliness is very important to me, and the apartment was spotless. Everything was well maintained and exactly as described. Despite being in such a central location, the apartment was peaceful and quiet at night, allowing us to sleep comfortably. Overall, the combination of the fantastic location, comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding hospitality made this a wonderful experience. I was travelling with my mother and my toddler, and we all had a fantastic time. I would happily stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Venice.

Everything was great!

Elisa the host was very friendly and helpful and the apartment is BEAUTIFUL! Nice and quiet area but still only a five minute walk to the busy lanes. Right next to a shop as well so easy to buy anything we needed. The apartment was just so lovely and well-appointed and the sofa and bed was super comfortable as well. AC was a godsend. Self check in also available which was helpful!

The host asks for a €200 security deposit in cash on arrival which we thought seemed odd, but she was happy to arrange to collect it and return it whenever was convenient for us. She returned the deposit in full no questions asked when nothing was damaged and had a friendly chat, nothing weird about it just seemed odd to us being from the UK. We spent 4 nights for reference!

Didn’t have a pleasant experience with the host (1) Read conditions carefully. Host takes a cash deposit of 200€ and is refunded later (after deducting any charges..). We never faced this issue at any other place in Italy, Austria. Due to a train delay and some issues in finding the place we reached late evening (~ 11 pm). Although we had informed her of the delay and the problems in finding the place and the host stays in the same building, she still charged us 50€ for arriving late (mentioned in terms and conditions). There were other minor issues - no plastics provided in the bin (and a notice to charge 50€ for not disposing waste), no bathing soap bar/liquid, washing machine detergent.. However otherwise the flat was very nice. (2) Don’t use flat address mentioned in Google maps. It points to a location 350m away! We faced this problem on the first day. Mention ‘Santa Marina 5888’ or Santa Marina Hotel (a landmark 50m away). Despite mentioning to the host, she refused to accept, mentioning she is not responsible for issues relating to Google maps (there is a general issue with Google maps in Venice)
