Absolutely everything. This is Irish hospitality as it should be. Comfy rooms, brilliant staff and amazing food. Plus gorgeous surroundings, the Riverbank has it all. Well done guys, we loved it. We will be back

One night stay to visit family

Staff were very friendly and food was exceptional.

The bedrooms were ok, except the heating was not working in one of the rooms. Bathrooms were poor and the window latch was broken in one of them so it couldn't fully close. There also seemed to be a stale odour

Beautiful guesthouse with a very welcoming atmosphere. The room was comfortable though plain, simple yet effective. We arrived during the festivities of the Christmas celebrations for families and young children. Family orientated property yet equally satisfying for a couple seeking a relaxing retreat.

Breakfast menu could maybe be considered a little lacking.

It's one of these out of the way gems that you stumble across just by chance.. staff are wonderful so friendly and not just because they are staff either...

A little bit expensive for the dinners..starters overpriced.. mains the same.. For an off the beaten track place looks very good alot of money spent on it.. Would have liked more of the pub vibe but that's just me..

A Wonderful Stay with Excellent Service

I had a fantastic experience at this guesthouse and pub! From the moment I arrived, I received a lovely warm welcome that immediately made me feel at home. The accommodation was great, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again on my next visit to the area. The pub serves reasonably priced food that offers excellent value for money, and the quality matches the price perfectly. What really stood out was the lovely service throughout my stay. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure everything was just right. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with good food and genuine hospitality!

Lovely establishment, well placed, great staff, room 2 was a real disappointment.

Location is perfect for us. Off the beaten track. Wonderful meal in the evening and breakfast good. Great ambience in the bar and dining area. Staff lovely.

The room (number 2) The view from the room. The noise levels. The strange wait for breakfast. We chose the Riverbank for its quiet location. Their Web page also states that 'every room has a view of the river or garden'. Room 2 actually has a screen outside its window designed to block the view of a courtyard full of gas tanks. The massive extractor fan servicing the kitchen is almost in touching distance and the noise and the fumes combined meant we had to close all windows.

Riverbank was lovely

Everything was fantastic! We loved the rustic atmosphere in the comfortable bar/dining room and the food was exceptionally delicious. The room en suite was comfortable and airy with a lovely view out the window. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very helpful with gluten free food options. We will hopefully stay there again in the future.

Gorgeous guest house in the country. Nice and quiet. We stayed in the suite, which was a great size. Bed was super comfy and room was nice and clean. Bathroom was modern and spotless. Felt safe and secure with locked doors only accessible for guests for late arrival. Lachlan (sp), the manager i believe, was really friendly and helpful, as well as all the staff we encountered. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Was only there for a flying visit, but we'll definitely be back with the family.

Would maybe be a bit hard to get to of you didn't have transport.

Just a really nice relaxed place to stay.

Our whole visit was exceptional...checked in at 3pm on a Thursday...stayed in their suite which was superb...sat at bar for an hour before dinner and had some chat with the two friendly girls serving...dinner was excellent and retired back to bar b4 bed...a very relaxing stay...Riverbank is a wee hidden gem in the countryside and well worth a visit.

4 ladies stayed overnight for a sporting event nearby.

Food was gorgeous, although it took a while to come out. Which meant it was cooked to order, so we didn't mind too much . Overall the Riverbank was a lovely homely place with gorgeous food and Lovely staff. We would definitely stay again... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Waiting time on food could be a little quicker. And a little kettle in the room if you like an early cup of tea or coffee I'm not a fan of the coffee machine with the pods. But that's just my preference . Other than that I couldn't fault the place really beautiful And perfect for party or small wedding venue .

A MUST VISIT !

From arrival to leaving the whole experience was fantastic. The staff, particularly Paula was friendly and welcoming. The dinner menu was excellent with attention to quality and presentation. The decor is calming with an old world country charm. The paintings on the walls were from local artists and added their own charm. The rooms were bright and airy. Nice detail, like water, a coffee machine added to the experience. Free Wi-fi was stable throughout the property. The attention to detail was excellent, such as the convenience of socket outlets, rain shower and decent sized wall mounted TV added to the overall experience. The breakfast ( included) was tasty with a homely feel. The selection was very good and presented in a country style fashion. Overall, the Riverbank deserves its consistent excellent reviews. An excellent location that has outdoor seating with facilities for family events. A great location to use as a base to visit local sights. Will be returning and highly recommend this wonderful guesthouse.

Both breakfast and our meals in the bar were fantastic and the bar area was very nice. Staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived to when we left.

Bed only had reading light on one side. However there were switches and wall lights either side of the bed, but the switches were covered with labels saying do not use, possibly the reading light issue is therefore work in progress.

Perfect

Absolutely everything! This was our 3rd visit and it just gets better. The Place is in such a beautiful peaceful location. The food is delicious and reasonable. The Bar, Restaurant & Outdoor areas are gorgeous. We had the suite and it was fabulous and SPOTLESS!! Every member of staff is a credit to the place. Great spot to just park the car and unwind!!!
