Riverbank, Country Pub and Guesthouse

Riverbank County Pub and restaurant sits in the middle of beautiful countryside, so satnav is important to find it. It’s a lovely stone build establishment with great parking. However it’s biggest asset in my opinion is it’s staff. We were welcomed and shown to our room by Grace who was so pleasant and accommodating it was the icing on the cake. The staff at dinner and breakfast were excellent too.

Just needed a decent hairdryer in our bedroom.

Breakfast service was excellent, hence the top "Smiley" for "Staff". The location is very good but in my opinion only when the in-house bar and restaurant is open otherwise one best be prepared to fast, bring a picnic or travel.

Bar and Restaurant closed. I realise this information can be retrieved on the Booking.com website via a link embedded in the property description however I feel it should be highlighted.

Staff were friendly and room was clean. Breakfast was tasty and main pub lounge was really well decorated and clean.

Check In was a bit unorganized : We arrived and had to look around for a door/ desk to check in as main pub door was closed. A function was taking place in function room separately to main building which wasn’t connected to main pub. Eventually we got in and had to wait for them to find our room key. Our room (6) was v small and I think should probably be more suited to a single bedroom not a double bed up against a wall. A small shelf in bathroom would be good for holding wash bags/ etc too.
