Great location, cosy apartment

- Lovely apartment, very comfortable - Confortable bed - Great location : both quiet and close to center - The host was very available. His messages useful and clear.

- The WiFi kept going off and the connection was overall bad on both our phones. - The steps of the stairs to get to the second floor were very small, it was complicated with a big backpack. - The lights were too dim in some parts.

Cozy, great location

Fantastic use of the space, "compact living" at its best. I liked the interior, the coziness and the nicely curated booklet with info and recommendations. And the little extras, such as qtips, lait démaquillant, cotton pads etc. Smooth communication, quiet street. Great location!

Wonderfully convenient and quiet location.

The location was excellent and it was very helpful that we could leave our bags in the studio until the afternoon of our departure date. Rue de S. Catherine is very quiet. Everyone we encountered was polite and friendly.

The stairway to the studio is extremely steep and narrow and my husband is very tall and not slim. It would be totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. The studio is very compact. While it is cleverly and thoughtfully laid out, I would prefer more space.

Full of character and charm - lovely stay

Beautifully presented with lovely splashes of personality in the room and throughout the building. Short walk to old town. I would say if you have access issues be warned that the stairway leading up to the top floor rooms is typical of a house of this age (very steep and narrow!) I don’t want to say that’s a negative- it’s full of character!

Not an accessible option for less mobile people.

We can’t comment as we had to find an alternative solution for our stay.

We are an elderly couple and our room was on the second floor of the building. The stairs were impossible for us to climb and we couldn’t manage our cases up the very steep and narrow staircase to the second floor. We had to ask our friends for assistance but abandoned our stay. I don’t recall seeing anything in the property description that would either make customers aware of the property’s steep staircase or any options to request accessibility options.

property is very nice, 10min walk from Grand Place and from the train station. the area where property is based is very residential and quite. it is also very close to the main park in Lille

property was filthy upon my arrival. cleaning was done in a very approximate way. sent a message to the owner who provided assistance by sending a cleaner. linen and towels were clean although the rest of the property was not

Great location and base for exploring Lille. Suitable for a short break for a couple.

Lovely location, in the old town and near a large park. Easy to walk to other areas of the town, or travel by public transport. Lots of bars, eateries, interesting shops and historic buildings within easy reach. The flat has character and much thought has gone into presenting it. The flat is fairly small, but plenty enough room for a couple. The best use has been made of the available space, making it useful and comfortable.

Quiet sanctuary easy walking distance to the old town.

Good location, quiet, but only 500m to the cafes, bars etc in the old town. For breakfast nice cafe just round the corner. Walking distance to the parks and huge playground for children near the fort. Nice to be met at the door by the owner and guided around the apartment. Artily decorated and warm. Free tea, Nespresso. Owner very helpful. Lille was a good surprise loads to see (art galleries and old buildings) and great restaurants and bars nearby. So much easier than Paris to get around. Paris only an hour by train. Bicycle rent stands are everywhere though we didn't work out how to use them, cobble streets make it tricky. 30 mins free then 1e after. Always felt safe in Lille. (We are older but loads of bars nightlife etc for youngsters in Les Halle's and 500m from the apt.)

Apartment is quite dark and small (though lots of lamps) up steep stairs. Decided not to rent a car as parking near the apartment difficult, 5hrs max, basically hunt for a space. Nearby car parks up to 24E a day although notes say there is a free one 15 mins walk away. You don't really need a car as you can walk easily around the old town and with the metro and trains can get further afield without a car.

Huge room - actually an apartment! Great location right in the old town and by the canal. Lovely host, clean, historic building. It's a townhouse with 7 apartments, accessed via small winding stairs. Fantastic value for money

It was quite chilly in the apartment in winter, except for the morning. Pack flannel PJs if you come in winter! But this is common in Lille old town and not a complaint, but just some advice.
