The location was amazing. Had the bird poop and bathroom odor not been a problem, i would have rated this property a 9

Location was amazing.

We had a tremendous amount of pigeon excrement in the entry to the flat. Seem to be the only door that had this issue. Was a large build up that was already there when we checked in. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. I suspect that the wax seal between the toilet and the sewer needs to be replaced.

Amazing courtyard and house is revealed when you go through the gate from the street. Felt like stepping back in time or into a fun set Central location. Small apartment but had everything we needed

The place is beautiful, however, it retains some of the downsides of an older building.

The location is perfect: right in the heart of the city, yet the inner yard is a marvellous and peaceful haven. The room, though small, is cosy. The comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchenette with all necessary utensils.

Unfortunately, there's no WiFi available. However, the most distressing aspect was the strong smell of dampness and mould. This was likely due to the age of the stone-timber house. The smell was persistent and very bothersome for me, forcing me to sleep with all the windows open all night.

Good

The studio is well located, calm and peaceful. We had the necessary equipments to help us with our daily activities. I love the fact that the building was preserved with historic features.

The studio wasn’t that comfortable. I saw some cobwebs on the ceiling, the cleaning machine which had some dirt in it was close to the bed, the bathroom had some blackish stains on the wall, some used items were left in fridge and no one came to clean the studio within the 3 days that we stayed.

Lovely place in an historical building (several hundreds of years). A lot of pleasure for the ones who enjoy this kind of places. At the very heart of the oldest place of Rennes. Welcome back to the Renaissance.

We enjoyed Rennes and the old charm of the area we stayed in but the accomodation needs more TLC

We like the central location and that we could leave the car in car park close by for the whole weekend. The courtyard location of 'Pastel' was atmospheric.

This property is a bit shaby, peeling paint, poor bathroom planning, difficult to access both sides of the bed. Windows were dirty and the two side opening windows were over bins. The kitchen is poorly lit and the whole 'flat' is in need of a make over. I could say a lot more but I hope the owners take a good look and with a bit of time and effort make it into somewhere great to stay instead of a dissapointment.

excellent location in the heart of Rennes, many attractions, restaurants and shops in walking distance

the mattress was old and curved towards the middle, the apparent was dusty: the feather lamp above the bed had a layer of dust that was 1 cm thick . I kept imagining that dust being sprinkled on me as I slept

Location perfect, apartment pretty but stank

The apartment was very pretty and clean but the stench from the bathroom was overpowering.

The odour from the shower was dreadful. The rudeness of the owner on the morning of departure was deplorable. I have never been sent such angry messages and only requesting assistance to get my suitcase down a treacherous staircase. I did get help from a lovely young man who worked for the agency, and the agency was equally surprised at the abruptness of the messages ordering me to get out of the apartment on time from the owner. I had only asked for one hour more as might flight was in the evening. It was suggested by the young man on arrival that I could have departure slightly later when I arrived. He was wonderful and the agency were helpful, but the owner needs to learn to behave more appropriately in future. I travel a lot for work, and I think her behavior was out of order.

Superb

Very quaint property, our studio had a fabulous view over a picturesque courtyard. Location was great, right in the heart of the Old Town. The apartment was very well equipped with all essential appliances.

Perhaps more comfortable chairs to sit on. Only 1 adult size whicker chair which was not very comfortable. The other chair was a tiny whicker child's chair. Also a slow closing mechanism on the wooden entrance gate to reduce noise.

Excellent location in medieval centre of Rennes, right next to the Cathedral and round the corner from the famous market. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. Local secure car park easy walk.

Condition and configuration of 1st Floor apartment: Tiny lobby entry with WC leading via steep steps and creaking entrance door to generous main living space off which is bijou showerroom and Kitchen. The "bedroom" area is approached via a very steep ships-type ladder and consists of a mattress on the floor in a boarded space with incredibly low head-height, only accessible by crawling. NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM CLAUSTROPHOBIA! And, being at the back and at high level it is impossible to get fresh air into the space. By the same token neither the extract ventilation in the WC or showerroom worked and the sink waste was incredibly slow running. The balcony was small but useful but all handrails to that and the access staircase were pretty rickety. Footsteps across the floor in the 2nd Floor apartment caused disturbed sleep. Wi-fi did not work as promised until someone switched the hub back on in the apartment above (!), but then it kept failing throughout our stay. Final disappointment was being required to wash and dry up any crockery and dispose of rubbish to bins (no recycling facility) at the end of the stay - not previously mentioned.

bed position was not comfortable with the ceiling too low and starts bit dangerous. No push button to witch the lights on for the external stairs when going out.

Your representative met us at the designated time and showed us around the apartment, advised us on security, bins and how to return the keys as well as recommending some local restaurants. He was was very pleasant and helpful.

excellent location, unique building, comfortable, The local bakery was 1/2 a block away. about 2 minute walk. And about 5 minute walk to many restaurants, Right in the heart of the old town.

the corridor and courtyard did not have lights, it was pitch black when we came home at night. luckily our phones have flashlights, there was no shower curtain, Would have been nice to have a couple of wine glass in the cupboard,

The location

Bird faeces outside property looks like it’s been there a long time on both apartments The Pastel apartment badly lit going into the courtyard. Also the Electrics kept tripping and noise from the apartment above all night was unacceptable, no consideration. Will be looking to take out small claims through the courts very shortly.
