What a wonderful guest house to stay at. Rose and Mark are simply wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed and shown our stunning room. Not only was it clean, spacious and tastefully decorated and furnished it was very quiet and privately situated. I cannot rate the breakfast highly enough... well done Mark! Every minute of our stay was enjoyable and we will 💯 be back very soon! If you need a relaxed and beautiful place to stay in Torquay... choose this one!

From walking into reception, through to the dining room and then into your room the guest house is fresh and very clean. We recieved a warm and informative welcome from Marc and a fantastic breakfast from Rose. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Awesome Stay!

The responsiveness of the hosts was excellent, the guest house was easy for me to access from the Newton Abbot train station - I joined the Bus 12 and it stops right in front of the guest house. The building is incredibly well maintained and clean. Marc greeted me at the door with a big smile and a firm handshake. He provided me with a map, showed me my room and the facilities, and explained how to reach them if I needed anything. He also provided a slip for me to tick what I wanted for breakfast. Because I had an early job interview, I asked if they could pack my breakfast and they kindly did - even though the meals are eat-in only. The scrambled eggs were soooo good! (Thank you, Rose and Marc for the kindness!) Staying here felt like home. The carpet in my room felt plush and soft to walk on. The bed was very comfortable, and there was lots of tea, biscuits, milk, coffee, sugar, etc in the room along with a kettle. It is summer, and the weather is hot, but I didn't melt because there was a portable fan in the room. Clean, fresh towels. Clean sheets. Standing mirror for my vanity. Lots of pamphlets at reception for touring the area if one wants to.

There was nothing that I disliked. The only thing I wondered about was accessibility for disabled guests because of the stairs leading up to the entrance.

A gem in the Devon Riviera

Silverlands upgraded me to a better room at no cost to me. The room itself was decorated nicely and the bathroom especially was very impressive. Breakfast was included in the price and had clearly been prepared just for me, and the owners were friendly and very attentive to my happiness

Parking was a bit limited, but I was assured it was ok to park in such a way that I was blocking another car in which put my mind at ease

This was an excellent experience, very lovely people, and we hope to repeat the experience in the near future.

We received a warm welcome, the cleanliness of the property was exceptional, and we were treated to two hearty breakfasts.

Great breakfast, room and bathroom very clean, we will be coming back next year. Number 12 bus stops outside the hotel, the 12 bus takes you all around Torbay which is very handy.
