Just what I needed to chill out after travelling throughout the country for 4 days.

A lovely comfortable room with tv near the sea…what more could I want? I have two dogs who were allowed to stay in the room…a wonderful benefit after travelling in the car for previous 3 days/ nights. Great.

Beautiful by the water

Great location right on waterfront road (gorgeous views across the loch) easy to walk to village for cafe/restaurant and unique park walks such as Fairy Glen and Narnia walks also. Room was beautiful, comfortable and breakfast available for purchase was really nice, and generous too.

Pleasant stay in beautiful Rostrevor

Breakfast was good but toast only and no brown bread! We felt a bit rushed as the owner was present the whole time and was anxious to clear the table.

An armchair in the bedroom would be good.

The bed was so comfortable, the sheets smelled so fresh. The room was so clean. I was very impressed.

i could not find a plug for the bath? The hosts was excellent im sure she would have gotten one if i’d of asked but i was in a rush.

Pasqualina, our host, could not have been more accommodating. The Oystercatcher in Rostrevor was our first stop after transatlantic flight. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The sweet town of Rostrevor was an easy, very pleasant walk. It was fun to learn the area was inspiration for C.S. Lewis’s “Narnia”.😊👍👍

The room was lovely. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The sun was shining ☀️ bathroom was lovely but didn't enjoy the shower. It's over the bath.

The location was great. The bedroom was light and airy and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable beds. The terrace with views of the lough, charming. Tasty breakfast.

Our bedroom wasn’t ensuite. However we did have a private bathroom next door, with bathrobes provided. There are ensuite bedrooms available at the property.

A delightful and relaxing place to stay, I would like to return for a break rather than for work.

Amazing location right on the waters edge with beautiful views. Individual attention to guest's needs (Breakfast was scheduled late for me to get to work but I was accommodated). Freshly cooked breakfast friendly and helpful staff.

Room would be a bit cramped for 3 people. Chair blocked access to wardrobe, not much space to work. Bathroom private and very clean and nice but on the corridor (not en-suite)

The place is a ripoff in its listing and the husband not helpful or pleasant

Booking.com said breakfast was included. When I arrived at the accommodation, I was told the rate paid was not substantial with the booking. Breakfast would be charged extra. Also, the only room available was a triple room with two beds on booking.com. When I arrived, I was given a room with only one bed. It was not listed on the guesthouse nor booking.com. I paid extra for a room that I hadn't booked. The husband was not hospitable at all. He answered the door and said his wife wasn't home and it was her business. The house is on the main road so very noisy from the traffic. The floor wasn't swept. Water pressure wasn't great in the shower. Old fashioned tub so it could be difficult for older people.

Our stay at the Oystercatcher was one of our highlights to our visit to the Mourne Mountain area.

Was a lovely area for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was really good. The view from the room was excellent.

The room was a twin but the beds were a single and a double. The bathroom was next door. Had to walk out into the main hall to use. We could book in after 3pm so arrived around 4pm the owner seemed very rushed.

very friendly hosts the accommodation was beautiful and clean and comfortable the area was lovely and the pubs and restaurants where brilliant excellent food guinness and the people where so friendly and the music was amazing we had a brilliant night

Lovely!

Lovely host, offered me a choice of rooms. I took a beautiful room with a view of Carlingford Lough. Very comfortable bed, just lovely. Unfortunately I had to leave very early in the morning so I could not try the breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great location. Lovely host

Great location and very comfortable room. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Booked as a Mother’s Day present for my mam to get away and be able to have a bath as we do not have one at home and she has Parkinson’s so it helps her relax. Was told the bathroom was private however as it is adjacent to the room , when my mother went for her bath someone had used the shower and not flushed the told after them and also used one of the towels provided for us. Key of toilet could not be removed to be able to lock from the outside so that no one could enter. Host did apologise and ensured he would remind guests that the bathroom is for our use and was very kind. However as key couldn’t be removed we did not feel comfortable using it as we were not aware if someone kept on using it. Advertised as a private bathroom so should surely be able to lock from the outside especially if we are leaving the house, if we had of left our toiletries in there they could have be robbed or used.

Great location but disappointingly poor facilities. Overpriced for what it offered-

Great location on quayside and hosts very welcoming and helpful. Great view from bedroom. Double bed very comfortable.

Facilities didn’t match the pictures online, and were poor quality. Therefore disappointing experience. Domestic bungalow, room small, audible tv noise from other bedroom til middle of night. Bedside table and light only on one side of bed. Bathroom poor quality- (cracked tile in shower, and crack in washbasin; rusty radiator) ‘terrace’ shabby and broken chair. No breakfast provided- ate elsewhere.

A lot of insects in bathroom !!! All towels were Dirty , carpets dirty as well. We left the room without spending the night there, because it was dangerous to be there with a child
