Affordable Airbnb style of hotel in great location

Hotel du Raisin is an affordable option if you’re looking for a well located, simple hotel for a few nights. I stayed 2-nights in an attic room, which was up four steep flights of narrow stairs. My room (30) was clean and roomy with comfy double bed, sofa, table and chairs and a useful kitchenette. The room was serviced daily. There was plenty of free tea and coffee. The free Wi-Fi is strong and reliable.

I couldn’t regulate the shower temperature tap (my bad) so I had a hot shower one day and a cool on the day after. At night the hourly bells ringing outside can be irritating if like me you like to sleep with a window open, otherwise the double glazing blocks most of the noise out. Standby for 7 AM each day, if you’re in an attic room, when a cacophony of bells attempt to wake up the entire city with a multi-minute blast.

Top floor suite is a gem in old town

Super location, great attic suite, kitchen, nice bathroom, clean, comfortable bed

A bit hot since it's the top floor and the oven didn't work but these are total details, I'll book this place again (top floor!!) if I have a reason to travel to Lausanne again. Might be a bit hard for people with a lot of luggage to get up the four flights of stairs but it's worth it

The staff are incredibly welcoming, the décor is full of charm, and there's something truly special about the feeling of stepping back in time. It’s a unique and cozy spot that never disappoints. Highly recommended!

Location is great only

Poor hospitality. Restaurant staff are also staff taking care of guests needs. Received impatient attitude during check in. I think they are more interested in their restaurant business than Hotel business. Beware, there is no lift! And you can imagine the terrible experience having to carry your big luggage up! The room is also in bad condition. The wardrobe is spoilt with faulty door. A piece of cardboard was used to hold the door from opening. The toilet seat is yellowish with stains. And the room is "slanting". It was a stay of 2 person but only one guest card for one person had been given. Why can't another card be issued?

Great location, pretty much in the heart of the historic center. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was pretty comfortable.

The hotel didn't have a lift and I stayed on the last floor... The reception is inside the restaurant (open to the public) and the staff's English was not the best. The bathroom door was super heavy and difficult to manage, and also translucent, which allowed for light to get into the room by night. Despite these facts, nothing did ruin my stay or anything.

Exceptional

The location of the hotel is perfect, next to the metro with plenty of shops around. I had the top attic apartment which was spacious and very cozy and clean, with a small kitchenette having everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet too.

Great position but it's just a bedroom

Very central position and the room was overall pretty clean

I find the price too high for a very small bedroom with a bathroom and no kitchen. Also the structure didn't answer me whether I could check in before 14:00. It turned out I could not because the hotel has also a restaurant and the personnel was busy serving lunch.

Clean and spacious room with city hall view

Very good location. Facing the old town square and jn front of the city hall. Three minutes to the subway station which will take you to Lausanne railway station or Lake Leman. Spacious and clean. Very good value for the price.

No elevator. A bit tough if you have a big luggage and stay on the top floor.

Excellent location

The location is excellent. Right in the centre of town. Lausanne has two metro lines. The hotel is located about 200m from both, putting the whole of wider Lausanne without easy reach. The hotel's restaurant is also extremely good.

There is no lift. Not an issue for me, but something to bear in mind if you need one.

Little Swiss oasis

Warm welcome from the staff, lovely building and wonderful clean room. Bed was so comfy and the bedding was so soft. Amazing location in centre of Lausanne with a metro stop a 2 minute walk away. Didn't have breakfast but the freshly delivered croissants smelt amazing!!!

Cozy hotel right in the heart of Lausanne

Outstanding location in the heart of Lausanne old town, close to important sights and transportation. Clean rooms, spacious and modern bathroom, good price.

No breakfast option before the restaurant itself opens. Not a problem for me personally, but be aware of the steep staircases and no elevator.

It is good value for Switerland and in a very pretty area of Lausanne near all the sights

Fab attic studio with beams and a view of the cathedral. Good bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable bed. Great location

Although there was a kitchen it was very very poorly equipped with almost no cutlery or crockery. I had to ask for a spoon and a bowl. Only one pan for cooking etc. I mentioned these issues at the end of the stay and a member of staff wrote down what I said so maybe this is now better The staff are very busy as it is more a restaurant that happens to have some rooms rather than a hotel with hotel staff on hand to help.
