Satisfactory, bar the chair noise

Excellent breakfast.

That the chairs in the room were impossible to move without causing a huge screeching on the uncarpeted floor. Surrounding rooms noisy as a result.

Location was great & hotel easy to find.

Really unhappy that the hotel did not say that there was refurbishment work being carried out. All I saw on the Booking.com information was that the bar was closed between Sept-Nov. However the works were throughout the hotel. Signs showed 8.30 to 4.30 but we were given a room (311) at the front of the hotel near the main entrance area, and a skip lorry arrived & dropped a double sized skip at 6.55am waking both of us up. The air con & bathroom fan was not working - I assume due to works so we had to keep the window wide open. The room smelt of paint. The car park was for Ibis guests, but it was not clear how to get the bell to work on the keypad to gain access, and the staff were not interested when I suggested better signage. We have stayed in many Ibis many times, so this was a real dissapointment for the price (the price on the hotel board at reception showed over 10 euro cheaper).

BEWARE - Building works ruined stay

NOISE - impossible to be comfortable in room due to building works ongoing in the hotel. There were builders replacing windows in the room directly below our room resulting in constant hammering and drilling that was so loud it caused ear discomfort. Booking.com states that ‘For your comfort, our establishment has a new look! We carry out renovation work that may cause noise during the week.’ This DOES NOT convey that the room will be completely UNINHABITABLE for hours and hours during your stay and that the noise will cause you pain. The reception did not accept our request for a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU LOVE DRILLING AND HAMMERING NOISE. Our stay was terrible and I DO NOT recommend. Additionally, the room was not nice and not clean. There was no bin in the room. There was only half a roll of toilet paper provided. Sheets were stained. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The staff were not polite.

The location is perfect. There is enough parking space but don't forget to pay. The service is good, our request for 2 next to each other rooms with connecting doors was honoured.

We used this for a transit hotel for one night only, but I can imagine it's a bit small for a long stay especially with kids.

Very good stay and location

The location was very nice. Both very close to the center and next to the river. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.

There was some stuff and hair from previous guests next to the bed, below the reading light. We were at the breakfast around 9.30 but there were not much options anymore. No vegetables no croissants.

If you need a place to stay, it is not a no-go, but it could be improved in many areas.

The location is within easy walking distance form the city-centre, nice view from the breakfast room over the river, and it is relatively quiet in terms of noise from the out-side. The breakfast is nice and a good choice of loose teas.

It gives you the feeling of a (half) painted social housing estate in the inside. One can see the efforts that have been made to do it up - in parts in the entrance lobby and rooms, but cleanliness could be improved in many parts. It lacks any atmosphere and you can hear noise from other rooms!

This hôtel by the river was so central that an extra walk back to it was never a bother. Car parking was never an issue and the overall access by road very easy.

I eould have liked the place to be a bit cleaner, some carpets area we're not clean. The pain work was dowdy in some spots and the terrasse area could have done with a good hosing on paint work...

Good standard for the price

The room is as plain as it gets. A bit outdated especially the bathroom. The first receptionist was nice spoke good English and recommended a locally brewed beer.

I paid the room with breakfast but unexpectedly I had to leave due to the heavy traffic earlier than expected before the breakfast opened. The 2nd receptionist took a look at my records if i paid and whatnot but didn't offer anything as breakfast not even a single coffee. Also there was no parking by the hotel had to park like 500 m away in a street.
