Awful and would not book a Novotel again

Bar area was nice, but that was the only thing

The room was very old and dated, nothing like the picture. It didn’t meet our expectation. The bed was so uncomfortable and we only had 1 pillow each. We asked for more, staff said they’d bring one up but didn’t. Phone was broken so couldn’t call down to reception. Staff didn’t seem to care or ask if we had a good stay. Really poor.

One night rest stop

Close to supermarket and lots of places to eat. Comfortable bed and good shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I requested extra pillows and they were provided.

It’s very dated and probably wasn’t 4 star worthy in my opinion. It should be 3 star. Noisy at night we were overlooking a courtyard and there was noise all through the night from people outside. Paint chipping on window sill. Mould in shower. Dirt above bed head

Central but basically in a shopping mall

Lack of staff and no feeling it was trying to be a £250 a night hotel. I would not recommend it or go back.

Great location to access the city centre

It's what you would expect from a Novotel in France. Little outdated, but the basics (staff friendliness, clean rooms, warm shower, decent bed etc) all ok. On a normal scale, you would say 6-7 out of 10. On Booking that would mean 8 point something I guess.

Would be nice if the parking rate was a little cheaper.

Car park exit was a nightmare to find! When arrived lots of local roads shut for Xmas market without prior warning so couldn’t find car park entrance. Fresh water up the corridor for you to collect from room

Loved Metz but will not return to this hotel

The location

Pathetic tea and coffee making facilities. No milk. Ridiculously small pillows. Poor directions prior to visit about the car park. Too expensive and poor value for money. Room tired, missing a cupboard knob leaving an exposed screw tip. Curtain torn. Staff only ok. Will not use Accor again.

Beside being right in the center the rest is at low level

Dirty toilet , very soft bed , very hard pillow , no water in the fridge but coke ! First room smells cigarette and needed to change , new car park policy need changing the ticket each tome we get out and in again

Not a 4 star hotel..

The lobby was nice.

This feels like a very old hotel. The rooms feel extremely dated, with old paint. The beds make some weird cracking noises. The bathroom smells to humidity.

Great location and fantastic breakfast

The hotel room was so spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing - loads of choice of food including breads, cakes, pastries, fruit, granola and cereals, some hot food (boiled & scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon), and a range of gluten free options! Definitely recommend if you’re in the area - the hotel was right in the town centre close to the cathedral, the Germans Gate and a lovely square filled with bars and restaurants.

Good location but not right in the main historic centre. It served us well for a stopover

There was no aircon in the main hotel reception or public areas and it was very hot. Rooms were OK but still a little on the warm side.

Good location in the centre, easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, Cafes and Bars as well as for sightseeing. Sita above a chopping centre which is good and of course it has an outdoor swimming pool.

I wouldn't pick out anything, really enjoyed our stay.

poor breakfast, parking is very crowded and it's difficult to find the lots near the entrance to the hotel. The main entrance from the street is very strange - you have to use elevator which is very slow. The overal feeling around the hotel is not safe.

Good location to explore Metz

The hotel is easy to get to from the motorway and located centrally so easy to walk to restaurants, shops, bars etc Room was a reasonable size, clean and modern Nice to have a pool, which was a good size

There is a car park beneath the hotel but we couldnt use it as the height restriction doesnt allow for a roof box. We did manage to park in Coisin open car park which is a short walk away. The hotel is directly above the station and there was a bit of a scuffle going on when we arrived which was a bit unsettling initially but seemed to be fine once the station had closed up and next day.

Superb location, right in the heart of the town, close to shops and bars and yet somehow also isolated from them all when you have had enough. Roof top outdoor pool is fabulous.

Airconditioning is very soft! There are a small options for gluten free like we had in novotel rome! (Only two breads). When we type the adres, google maps show us other place.

Convenient located with a good breakfast but short on comfort and luxury.

The location was perfect - right off of the town square and easily accessible to all the sites by foot. The restaurant was also nice surrounding the pool and the breakfast was plentiful.

The hotel was very run down and in need of a lot of repairs and TLC. Our room was old, the mattress was worn and it was quite claustrophobic for three people - we had our 12 year old son with us.

Great location, clean, friendly, would highly recommend

This hotel is in a great location, the pool is an added bonus especially for the children. Staff very helpful. The room was clean and big enough for 4. We did not eat at the hotel but the bar area was lovely.

The lift is very small and takes forever as it seems to have to stop at reception floor each way on every journey !

Central location, use your satnav

Extremely central location close to Place St. Jacques (more for young people) and the beautiful cathedral with the square in front of it with the covered market and restaurants serving Quiche Lorraine in its home city. Clean room with little fridge, though no electric sockets by the bed. Good breakfast.

Entry to the hotel from the street only via the Centre St Jacques shopping centre, From the yellow level of the car park there is a dedicated lift from "Yellow 3" marked "Acces Novotel" (if the access ramp arrives at 1 o'clock location in the car park, this is at about 11 o'clock location but concealed by pillars). See photos Internal signage is very difficult to read (black on black).

Central location, swimming pool, kids park, very clean and professional, staff are very friendly. Parking on site, Quiet rooms, reusable filtered water bottle, Great waterfall showers and good bathroom facilities

The hall outside our room had a horrific stench of urine. The car park signage was awful and left us wandering and looking for the hotel.
