Enjoy my stay

Family room complete with the necessity, spacious room and bathroom and comfortable. Location just 15min from Amsterdam Centraal and got direct train from/to Schipol Airport. Easy self service check-in & check-out. Close to Albert Heijn and Primark.

For toiletries, they only provide 2in1 body shower/shampoo. So recommended to bring your own toiletries.

Great choice for a short trip in Amsterdam area

It's next to the train station in Zaandam - very convenient for doing the trips to the windmill area (2 stops, approx 12 min by train; 2.80 Euro) and to Amsterdam (similar distance, only 2 stops by the train; 3.30 Euro; allways pay by card at the gate, it's cheaper than buying the ticket in the machine, just don't forget to tap your card when you get off the train / when you are leaving the station). The parking is safe and costs only 15 Euro/day (even more than 24 hours z - when you come in the morning and you leave next day in the afternoon, it's still only 15 Euro,pay at the reception) or 3 Euro/1 hour.

The curtain in the room was very dirty. But fortunately the rest of the room and the bathroom were clean.

Not worth the money

The location was great! Close to the station and a local shop

The room we had 421 was dirty. There was hair clips on the floor, one of the coffee cups had previous coffee still on the rim, there was a coffee pod still in the coffee machine, the sliding door when opened is covered in pencil/crayon from a previous guest. The pictures were obviously taken a long time ago, the rugs and added comforts you see in the pictures do not exist. It’s a shell room with a bed and peeling wallpaper. The parking charge was excessive €15 per day. The family suite, isn’t ideal for a group other than parent and child. The bathroom door is see through glass with a few blurred lines. Not enough to create any kind of privacy. It’s hard to answer the questions around staff as they’re almost non existent, check yourself in, create your own room key, check yourself out, arrange your own parking. All in all, I wouldn’t stay again. Only positive was the train station being so close by.

Great option for families

The family room was really great for a young family. Two bedrooms, bathroom and microwave and kitchen area. Staff were friendly and there’s a great bike shed.

Would have made more sense for us to put the king bed in the first room and the twin beds in the second room…. But that just would have been our preference.

The location is decent, but wrongly stated as 10 minutes by train to the center. The room was ok, however, basic amenities e.g. sleepers (clothed shoes, tooth brush, paste etc.) were not provided, neither the proper toiletries were there.

Secondly had an issue while checking the payment shown by their system was different than what I paid to booking.com. Took a while to explain to them, but they were insisting that booking.com has its own fee thats why you have to pay more. Upon showing them payment proofs, we were able to manage, but it took a whil,e and got late, plus all the hassle made it uncomfortable. Additionally, their cards were not working for rooms, so we had to use physical keys with a threat of a fine in case keys are lost.

Good value hotel with easy, regular connection to Amsterdam.

Convenient location, less than 5 minutes to Zaandam station with very regular trains into Amsterdam centre, and next to a supermarket. Room met our needs, especially happy with the air con. Room was lovely and cool so I had a great night sleep. Shower was good.

There was an espresso machine however I’d have far preferred a simple kettle to make a hot drink. There were a couple of hairs in the shower tray; the rest of the room was clean.

Comfortable hotel convenient to train station

Comfortable hotel with spacious room. Bathroom was lovely and modern, but be mindful that the bathroom door is transparent. We booked a room with a kitchenette and the dining table was a great addition for the family eating breakfast/playing games together. Hotel is beside a supermarket and very close to the train station. Kara on reception was very helpful. They stored our luggage with no extra charge which was super!

We booked 2 rooms and PAID EXTRA for kitchenettes and the information CLEARLY states that there would be REFRIGERATORS in the kitchenettes but they were only mini-bars. It’s not cold enough to store food (only drinks)……surely that was the whole point of us booking a kitchenette. When I enquired at reception they informed me I could store food in their restaurant fridge (which we did but it was a hassle). There also wasn’t enough crockery/no cutlery/tea towel/dish soap which was strange. The kitchenette was literally empty! We went down to reception and got some crockery & cutlery but the cleaners took them away so we had to constantly get more. I feel the kitchenette could be better equipped to justify paying the extra money we were charged.

Perfectly reasonable place to stay on the way to somewhere else.

Room was a nice size, and we were comfortable.

We did not have breakfast there. We wanted to grab a pastry for our daughter in the morning but that wasn't an option outside buying the full breakfast. That would have been nice, but it's not a big deal. The bar could use a few more nice beer options. There are so many craft beers in NL! Standard beers are boring. ;)

Good location but substandard service

Clean and comfortable

The receptionist did not seem to want to acknowledge our arrival and preferred that working on her computer was more important than attending to our booking. During 2 mornings, a cleaner unlocked the room door and came into the room uninvited whilst we were still sleeping. The second morning was our checkout day so she had no reason to come in uninvited.

Perfect location

Location is absolutely perfect for people who are travelling to Amsterdam. 5 min walk to the train station. 15 mins on the train and your at Amsterdam central. Little supermarket opposite for essentials. Location feels very safe. Also our room was ready 2 hours early so was no problem checking in. This was our second time staying here and will 100% be back soon

Confortable and convenient.

Confortable, excellent location with an awesome view. Easy and quick to get to Zaanse Schans by train. There is a great atmospheric square with lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Some smells of cannabis on our level even though signs said no smoking allowed, I guess this says more about the type of tourists the area attracts than the staff or reputation of the hotel. The building itself looks bland compared to the funky modern green buildings surrounding it.

The location was good.

I was using the bathroom when the housekeeper came in. I asked her to clean the room later, but she didn't leave the room. From 1am to 3am, a strange person knocked on the door of every room and tried to break in. It was so scary. There was no phone in the room, so I couldn‘t contact the counter.

Amazing location very close to train. Takes 15-20 mins to get to city centre of Amsterdam but offers a cheaper quieter alternative. Great to check out the local area and see more than the city centre
