Fine for a short stay

Very affordable (by Swiss standards).

No mosquito nets on windows. I visited during hot summer and had to open the window to bring the temperature down in the evening. Hordes of insects flew in quickly.

Friendly & welcoming with a great bar. Nice food or self-catering if you prefer. Comfy bed.

This was a great little find. Perfect for me and well priced given the huge cost of everything in Switzerland. I stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base for cycling. It has a self-catering kitchen plus a small residents' dining area and lounge. I found this useful for breakfast and to make myself coffee. I worked in the lounge at one of the tables, which was really handy. Good WiFi made that possible. Because of a Catholic Feast Day, I missed buying groceries so couldn't cook my own dinner. Instead I had an excellent burger from the bar - which was delicious. The staff were lovely.

The shared showers could have done with solid doors rather than curtains, but that part of the building is old so not easy to upgrade that aspect.

Great value for the area but for patrons under 50

The communal area was excellently equipped and you could cook if you wished. Few niggles but good value.

The mattress kept moving off the base (maybe I was restless. I arrived at Disentis by train and the hostel, although not distant, was all up hill. Fifteen minutes with luggage at almost 80 years is tiring.

Cute rooms, clean facilities and view from the room. Burger was absolutely delicious (quite expensive but not more so than the rest of town) which was from the restaurant, and the staff were friendly. Great value for money.

This is a great hostel. Beautiful old wooden building with a nice bar, guest kitchen and common room downstairs, and a few small bedrooms upstairs. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms are totally clean and very comfortable.

Rooms on the road side do have quite a bit of traffic noise.

Good hostel with a nice bar/restaurant

Good hostel near marvellous Swiss valley. Sink in the room, toilets and shower in the corridor. Downstairs freely available kitchen with all the utensils and a fridge plus a common room. Just next to the bar/restaurant with good beers, drinks and burgers. Very nice and helpful staff.

Not much to complain about. Maybe it was a bit on the outskirts of the village but with the size of the town, it was hardly any problem at all.

The restaurant attached to the hostel was great. They had an extensive menu, plus a beautiful patio with a view of the area.

Decent stay close to the cabin in Disentis

The location is good from an alpine skiing perspective. I understood at time of booking that the room and facilities would not be what I normally expect. This is a hostel and not a hotel. Nevertheless you typically get your own room and need not to share a room with others. No WC or shower in my room and I was informed about this already from the time of booking, so no surprise. A Coop supermarket very close to the hostel, roughly a three minute walk. In total a decent stay.

The room was very small, especially if you measure the area available for upright standing. Likely around two meters square for someone 183 cm.

Amazing value place to stay in Disentis. The staff are very friendly and it is a wonderful old wooden building. The bed is comfortable and the room has a sink. The shared bathroom is clean. There is a good shared kitchen downstairs.

My room was on the road side and the road is very noisy.

A relaxed and comfortable hostel, and a great restaurant

As an accommodation in the category "hostel", this one was quite good. Super friendly staff, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, clean and well-stocked (self-catering kitchen and common room). The restaurant was really good, tasty burgers and sides, and a wide assortment of local and international beers. And great music, too! Breakfast was also good, with lots of locally-sourced meats and cheeses.

Not really much to criticize, but do be aware that bathrooms and showers are in the hallway. Also, don't forget to ask for your guest discount card, as they don't seem to be issued automatically.

Great place, good vibe, friendly staff, and the best bar in town. Comfortable and quirky rooms. Stayed here for the 4th time, as a stop over on the way to Italy, the next morning we enjoyed the splendid views of the Gotthard pass.

A peacefull and relaxing Day in Graubünden

It's a fantastic place to stay. It's already my second time. I really like this atmosphere there. It has everything you would need to relax for a few days. A bar open late for you to enjoy the many drinks available as well as the delicious food in the evening or your healthy breakfast in the morning before your next journey. The town is located in a warm and peacefull area witch will help you to reload your "batteries" for a few weeks. Our room was in the Chalet with all what was needed for our stay. I definitly recommand this accomodation to everyone and I already know a few of my friends who will choose this place for their next holiday. The welcoming personal / staff are awesome. Just seat down and relax. A private parking is available and is greatly appreciable. Thank you everyone again.

Hotellet har en Trevlig bar med mycket god mat och dryck-personalen mycket sympatiska och hjälpsamma

Väldigt enkla små rum. Vårt sällskap hade två run med snedtak i båda dessutom. Man delar toalett och dusch med andra gäster. Lite trånga allmänna utrymmen. Finns ett kök som kan användas - är ok. Ngt lyhört men ok vill man bo billigt i Schweiz och inte är så picky funkar det.
