The location is great and easily accessible by public transportation. The price is quite affordable by Suisse standards, and the shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The room was fine, and the heating worked.
The beds and pillows could use an update. At least the Friday night we stayed, the hostel wasn't well suited to a family. There was a live 80s rock cover band in the pub that is connected to the hotel. It was so crowded with partying drinkers (standing room only) that there was no way to get dinner there. The band was still pretty loud in our room and played until 11pm, so my son didn't get a great night's sleep before skiing the next day. It's a nice place for 20- and 30-somethings to crash (living up to the name of backpacker hotel), but I would have some hesitations about bringing a family there.

Staff was very friendly. The room was bigger than we thought.
We visited Stoos from Schwyz, the trip to Stoos by bus was easy and didn't take long.

Good staff. Generally good facilities.
Their bar is downstairs. Loud drunks every night from 10pm to 3am. And chair in room had 3 legs. Not stable.
