Fantastic stay in the clouds

If you are looking for a stay in the mountains with all the amenities you need, this is a great place. The host was attentive, and the building felt authentic but well maintained.

As the host pointed out in the description, there is not much noise insulation. Maybe having some earplugs would be a good idea if you are an early sleeper.

Be lulled to sleep by the chirping of crickets and the gentle lilting of cow bells

The location was perfect for us, high up on the mountain, quiet and peaceful, the soothing sound of crickets and cowbells in the evenings. Totally sublime. And a perfect location for the passes we were in Switzerland to explore; Furkastrasse, Sustenstrass and Grimselstrasse. We happened to be there at the same time the moon eclipse occurred and had stellar views of this magnificent event, in a magical environment. The host is absolutely lovely and welcoming, couldn’t have done more for us. They even offer food packages, wine and a massage if you wish. If we’d been there longer, I’d definitely have opted for a massage. The accommodation is quirky and exceptionally clean, it had everything anyone would need for a short or longer stay, we’d definitely chose to stay there again if we’re back in the area.

Characteristic and comfortable!

On our way to the Netherlands, we stopped at this beautiful alpine chalet. The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming, and the apartment is very comfortable and well-equipped. Surrounded by nature, yet easy to reach, just minutes from the highway exit. We'll be back! :)

We stayed for one night as a young couple on a low budget and had a really positive experience. The house is shared, with private rooms and shared kitchen and bathroom, but during our stay, it was just us and the host, Ettore. He was incredibly helpful, warm, and approachable—he gave us great tips for places to eat and explore in the area, which really added to our experience. The chalet-style wooden house was modern, clean, and cozy, giving off a true mountain lodge vibe that we really enjoyed.

The only drawback was the low ceiling throughout the house—around 1.80 meters—which could be uncomfortable for taller guests. The bathroom, in particular, was a bit tricky to use if you’re above average height. It didn’t affect us too much, but it’s definitely something to be aware of if space and headroom are important to you.

Lovely stay friendly host comfortable bed in a small Swiss village.

Beautiful location in a small Swiss village. Very hospitable host and had full use of kitchen. Room small but comfortable. Woke up to the sound of cow bells so you knew you were in the Swiss mountains. Other services offered that we did not use but overall highly recommended.

Typical Swiss house not designed for small people. Impossible to use the shower as anything but a hand shower but that the only negative on otherwise a lovely overnight stay.

Knus eenvoudig verblijf

Ligging van de locatie is perfect. Het ligt 5-6 km stijgen van de Gotthardtunnel. Het is een knus eenvoudig verblijf in 70 jaren stijl. Keuken en badkamer deel je met de andere gasten en de eigenaar. Wij verbleven er eind december. Er lag sneeuw en het vroor. De verwarming was goed.

De vriendelijke host. Je voelde je zo welkom. Je bent een onderdeel van de familie. Ook gezellig met de andere gasten.

De badkamer is niet zo geschikt voor lange personen maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Een prachtige locatie, met mooie uitzichten en waar je prachtig kunt wandelen. Het lijkt net of je in een berghut very, zo knus. Dankjewel voor het fijne, relaxte verblijf🙏

Abgeschieden und am praktisch am Ende der Welt.

Die Lage ist auf jeden Fall sehr ruhig (abgeschieden) dafür auch nicht so zentral (Restaurants, Einkaufen und so). Für uns war es nur die Möglichkeit zu Übernachten vor dem Alpenbrevet. Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen nett und hilfsbereit.

Das Haus ist sehr alt und daher sehr ringhörig. In der Wohnung ist jeder Schritt aus der Wohnung darüber zu hören. Selbst Handy Piepstöne sind zu hören.

Top verblijf

Super leuk plekje in de bergen, maar wel vlak bij de Gotthard. We verbleven hier een nacht om daarna door te rijden naar Italië. Super vriendelijke eigenaren en Heerlijk geslapen! We hebben ‘s avonds met een kleed in het weiland gepicknickt tussen de Zwitserse koeien (pad naar beneden, rechts naast het huis).

Ettore l'host ci ha accolti nella sua dimora e per noi era la prima volta che soggiornavamo condividendo spazi e servizi e devo dire che è stata davvero una bellissima esperienza. E' stato un po' come essere in famiglia senza troppi formalismi ma mettendo l'umanità delle persone in primo piano e su questo l'host è davvero maestro. la camera era confortevole, i letti comodi ed in più se qualcuno avesse voglia di cucinarsi autonomamente, con poca spesa Ettore mette a disposizione cibi e bevande presenti in casa. località un po' isolata ma vicinissima alla località che noi volevamo visitare e che vi consiglio...lago Ritom, Lago Cadogno e lago Tom. con una bella giornata di sole è un Paradiso!!

Eine gute Adresse für einen Zwischenstopp Richtung Süden.

Sehr nette Vermieter, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt in Alcanta, einem der Orte, die zusammen Quinto bilden. Man kann von der Unterkunft in 10 Minuten zur Station „Alcanta“ der Standseilbahn, die zum Lago Ritom fährt, laufen. Dort gibt es ein Wartehäuschen mit einem Betriebstelefon, mit dem man anrufen und sagen kann, dass man in Alcanta einsteigen und zum Lago Ritom fahren möchte. Man kann dann auf der Rückfahrt auch wieder dort aussteigen

Die Lage, wir wurden sehr sehr nett empfangen, stets hilfsbereit

Altes Holzhaus, daher sehr hellhörig, wir haben jeden Schritt , jedes Wort von oben aus der Wohnung gehört. Da man das bestimmt weiß, umso bemerkenswerter. Die Matratze des sehr kleinen Bettes ist sowas von verlegen. Meine Frau ist ‚ausgezogen ‚ auf eine Couch , ich habe schmerztablette genommen.

Fijne stop midden in de natuur, maar met een paar aandachtspunten

We verbleven hier op doorreis en het was een heerlijke plek om even te pauzeren. De locatie is prachtig: omringd door natuur en met een schitterend uitzicht op de bergen. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar via WhatsApp. Heel prettig als je onderweg bent. Het ontbijtmandje was een fijne verrassing, alles was super schoon en het bed lag goed.

Wel een paar aandachtspunten: de kamer is aan de kleine kant en vrij krap ingericht. De badkamer heeft een bad waarin je moet douchen, wat ook erg klein is. Niet heel comfortabel na een lange reisdag. Daarnaast zijn de gordijnen lichtdoorlatend, waardoor je al vroeg wakker wordt. Al met al een mooie locatie met vriendelijke mensen, maar iets minder geschikt als je op doorreis echt toe bent aan een ruime kamer en een comfortabele douche.

Rustikale Unterkunft in den Bergen

Der Kontakt mit der Unterkunft vorab und auch währenddessen war super unkompliziert und sehr nett. Wir hatten Glück und durften etwas früher einchecken, was auch kontaktlos möglich war. Angekommen auf dem Berg war es sehr idyllisch und in der Wohnung erwartete uns eine Kleinigkeit als Gruß des Hauses - sehr lieb. Die kleine Wohnung war super ausgestattet, auch die Küche. Wir waren nur eine Nacht vor Ort, aber auch für länger eine tolle Unterkunft im tollen Bergpanorama. Sicher auch super für Wandertouren oder im Winter zum Skifahren, (dafür schien das Chalet auch eher gedacht zu sein). Es war alles sauber, ordentlich, wenn auch sehr rustikal und bodenständig, was aber absolut zur Unterkunft passte.

Die Handtücher haben leider etwas muffig gerochen, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass man ein frisches Set bekommen hätte, hätte man gefragt. Da wir nach einer langen Fahrt und kurzen Nacht nur kurz vor Ort waren, haben wir kurzerhand genutzt was vor Ort war. Der Teppich im ersten Schlafzimmer hatte einen starken Eigengeruch - leider nicht ganz so frisch. Und es wäre schön gewesen, hätte man das Zimmer noch etwas mehr abdunkeln können. Diese Punkte sollen wirklich ausschließlich konstruktive Kritik darstellen. Wir haben uns trotz der Punkte sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Danke.
