The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast meals were both fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing kimonos and helping us wear them correctly as well. They were also very helpful in instructing us on how to use the various onsen around town. There was also a lovely matcha tea ceremony that we could partake in on arrival. The proprietor helped get our luggage to the train station and insisted on pictures at every opportunity.
There was nothing that comes to mind as disliked during our stay at the Morizuya.

Words can’t even begin to describe how incredible every single detail of this experience was - from the beautiful and spacious tatami room, to the peaceful onsite onsens, and the spectacular kaiseki meals (dinner & breakfast).
Hatchi-san, his family, and the entire staff were exceedingly warm and welcoming. They not only accommodated my husbands severe allergies to crustaceans and cephalopods, but gave us complete peace of mind and a truly stress-free stay. I actually canceled a different ryokan last minute based on reviews praising their dietary flexibility, and I am so glad I did.
The location is perfect for navigating the town on foot and exploring the seven public onsens. We easily walked from the train station to the ryokan and to the rope way.
We're a family of four from NYC and have already told anyone who will listen how amazing this was, and we will definitely be back! Thank you so very much for everything!!
Absolutely nothing, everything was better than we had expected! Only wished we booked for one more night!

Warm welcomed by the whole family. Learning how to wear Yukata/ Kimono. Kindly helped us to transfer our luggage to the next location.

Nice venue in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen bath district. The room was spacious. We enjoyed the private use of the Onsen in the evening.
The stairs are hard to negociate. We were glad we didn’t take our big suitcase.
We took the dinner and while the food was good we found it a bite overpriced. Generally we found the price of our stay there for two night expensive.
