Lovely hotel with great staff, thank you for a great stay,

This is a lovely hotel, within the old town of Bernkastel. The hotel has a cafe serving mouth-watering cakes and drinks (there are plenty of these laid on at breakfast as well!). We arrived earlier than we had expected after several quick bus connections and were checked in immediately. The room was very pleasant with a sofa and separate table and chairs as well as a bed and bath/shower. The furnishings are lovely, full of character and very comfortable. We arrived by bus at the Kues bus station which is just over the bridge, it was easy to find the hotel and we didn't need a map. We found the area and the hotel quiet and comfortable. We were visiting during the Christmas market which I would also recommend, although we were there for the only two nights where there were no live performances!! The staff at the hotel were very kind and obliging and we really felt at home there.

A very enjoyable visit in a really beautiful little town.

Excellent central location a short walk from the main square and the river.

Bath towels were rather small and slightly quirky decoration in the bedroom and hallways.

A beautiful old hotel in the heart of this historic town. Very large, comfortable and clean room, with a huge bed. Really good breakfasts and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and was really enjoyable too, especially sitting outside for a beer on a warm evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel is quirky - a fairy tale theme, in keeping with the hotel name. That won't be to everyone's taste, but just relax and take it as a bit of fun. Parking for guests is close by.

In common with most old hotels, no air conditioning, but a very functional fan was provided which did the job on the very warm late summer nights. Also, lots of stairs to the top floor, which was fine for us, but beware if you have mobility issues.

It was a nice stay, but I would not say it was value for money.

We appreciated most the comfort of the beds and the jacuzzi in the room.

The breakfast is ok, but nothing special for such a pricey 4-star hotel. The fact that there is no reception after 18:00 is quite a joke really.

Die Lage ist hervorragend. Frühstück gut mit Kuft nach oben z.B. beim Kaffee.

Kurzurlaub war sehr schön, erholsam und ruhig. Das Städtchen ist einfach super schön.

Die Lage war direkt im Ortskern und sehr ruhig. Man konnte wunderbar schlafen mit offenem Fenster. Frühstück war sehr gut, für jeden was dabei. Zimmerausstattungen waren individuell sehr hübsch eingerichtet (Märchenhaft halt). Direkt in den Zimmern das Bad (offen, ohne Tür außer die Toilette) für meinen Geschmack nicht ganz so optimal. Ab und an wäre eine Privatsphäre doch nett. Wir hatten einen Ofen mit im Zimmer (Romantikzimmer)

Zimmer fand ich etwas überteuert. Pro Nacht 208,- € incl. Frühstück für 2 Personen im Romantikzimmer... nur wegen dem Ofen ? und ggf etwas größer ? Fand ich schon etwas übertrieben. Es gibt auch günstigere Möglichkeiten direkt im Ortskern. Zu den Kosten kommt ja noch Bettensteuer und Parkplatzgebühr pro Tag 8,- € dazu. Parkplatz an der Mauer zu den Weinbergen oder in einem Innenhof etwas weiter weg. Preisleistung in allem... für mich zu teuer.

Erg vriendelijk, mooie ligging, gezellige kamer en heel schoon.

Dat er in de koffiehoek op de kamer geen gelegenheid was om thee te maken, een kleine waterkoker zou al voldoende zijn.
