OK if you just want a night's sleep, not ideal for a longer stay and not good for families.

Good things about this hotel: the breakfast (if you like the concept of a pre-configured breakfast) is good, lovingly prepared and served to you personally. They played nice music from a record player whilst you eat. The hotel room is large with plenty of space and the bed is very comfortable. The location is fairly close to the station (although not great if you're pulling suitcases).

So first, I booked this hotel in a hurry and didn't read everything or the other reviews. That's my mistake. Nevertheless it is a mystery to me why there are 4 stars. The rooms are incredibly basic, this is maybe sold as part of the concept but it came across to me as cold and uncomfortable (with the exception of the bed). The WC had a permanent bad smell. The bathroom was only sort-of clean. There is no air conditioning and the windows don't open very far because they're blocked by a lowered ceiling. It wasn't very warm when we were there but still the room got really stuffy. Only one of the windows has insect protection so your ventilation options are limited at night. The pool is present in the advertising but it costs extra to use and is more or less part of the spa which you should stay away from if you are a hotel guest (we learned the hard way). Being thrown out was of course very embarrassing, it was a genuine mistake, my kids were very excited about the pool. It would have been better for everyone if we had just been told this politely at the beginning (and I might have even paid to use the spa facilities if I'd been offered the chance). However, I had the impression kids would not be welcome there anyway (spa - children having fun and couples/ladies trying to have a relaxing weekend are probably not a good mix). The room has a big noticeboard with information A4 sheets about various things but nothing explained the pool options clearly. The hotel is small (not a bad thing) but this seems to lead to a very low staff presence. I'm all for discouraging car use, but for a hotel that is a bit of a walk from the station and accessible via a gravel path at the end of a lengthy street, charging 10€ a night for parking seems a bit strange. Seem to just be another way to make money. Fortunately we only had a rental car for one night which halved the price. So all in all, I felt very misled by the advertising, star rating and price.

Perfect for my self catered 1 night

I only stayed for 1 night without breakfast. Did not use and see more than Parking space and hotel room. Arrived in the evening and left very early. Water Boiler with tea and coffee and a table with chairs was perfect for me, as I had brought my own food. Only the hotel was a bit difficult to find (at least in the dark), as the hotel could not be seen, only a small road with a sign leading to the Parking space.

A big thank you to the receptionist who allowed me to take shower in the spa after my room was vacated. so kind of you. I don’t have any problem with people who work. over all.. wu wei is just a hype.

Expensive for what you get, you get very little.

A strange place, Our room was at the front of a house overlooking a busy junction with no access to it - would have been nice as we needed to go to a function 400m further out of town, but had to use the back/main exit and a cycle path instead. The location was the primary reason for booking there. It was also around a 10 minute walk, gain along the cycle path to the main station platform concourse. It was at least clean. As for the SPA, nothing was mentioned.

First night their lift did not function on our return, so we had to user a small steep staircase - I'm no longer firm using those, but on ascending the stairs I almost didn't make it, plus there were more to negociate after we got to the 1st floor, also steep, only the rickety one had a handrail. The bed was comfy but almost impossible to rise from unless perched on the very thin edge. The other facilities, breakfast room, bar and restaurant were only available with some steep steps, and never seemingly open. This claimed to be a 4 star hotel, I wonder how. The facilitiy in the room was a kettle, one spoon, 2 cups with 2 teabags no coffee to speak of(day #1 there was half a teaspoon of instant in a reused small jam pot, with some coffee creamers. I had a drink looking like coffee then, but coloured water was the flavour. The buildings could have a lot better maintained, as all was old and needed proper maintenance by builders, the finish on the room was a "modern" cement finish, not my like, the room was amply sized, the only thing going for it. The bathroom was off to the side, and had a large bath with a seperate wet floor shower(good). In all the furnishings were limited with 2 old chairs, a large old coat stand and 2 footstools for bedside tables. they could do better.

I searched for a hotel with a charging station for my electric car. Wu Wei claims to have one on the website, but unfortunately they don’t. I had to check out and search for another hotel room.

just about everything. awful soulless property, non secure parking, poor bar. Advertised with a swimming pool but not actually the case. A pre bookable optional extra for additional money. A totally over priced hotel for what is actually offered. The Park Hotel in town offered so so so much more , which is we’re we spent our evening.

Great discovery of this hidden gem. Breakfast was individually and healthy. Warm welcome, free extras such as early access to the room. Friendly staf. Great beds and excellent shower. Good safe parking space, close by city center.

Sad they charge extra for the spa, so I did not use it.Did not look for it. In addition these large modern rooms look a bit as they could use some fresh paint, actualisation. Current main access road to city center closed for work, so quite a detour to walk to the center. They should give a free bike and alert that the is the case.

Le réceptionniste lors de notre arrivé pas agréable. Pas de télé dans la chambre. House de couette taché . House de matelas taché et protection de matelas aussi. Lampe sur le montant du lit défectueuse. Rideau des velux défectueux. Et surtout le prix de la chambre pas conforme a la réservation. 135€ sur la réservation, 150€ à payer sur place.

OK für die kurze Übernachtung des Handlungsreisenden :-)

Das Hotel ist sauber und sehr ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren ok, Badezimmer schön groß. Nicht weit vom schönen Zentrum der Stadt entfernt, Strammer lauf am Abend 20 Minuten und man ist in der Altstadt.

Man merkt das Hotel hat seine "Hoch"-zeit schon überschritten und ist sehr "abgelebt" aber ok für schnelle Handlungsreisende. Nichts in der schnellen Nähe wie Bäcker oder Restaurants. Taxi oder Auto ist die einzige Wahl am Abend.
