Our room was clean and set out well for the 4 of us.
The communal areas were not clean, our shower door came off in my daughter’s hands and could have caused an accident, some of the lights in our room were not working

Excellent value for money Extremely comfortable room and bed ; excellent shower ; decent choice of beers in the bar ; very good menu especially the high quality breakfast ; helpful friendly staff

Cheap + close to NECC Parking Breakfast good value with refillable coffee Adequate rooms - clean albeit dated. Slept well
Pub just feels grotty and in need of a deep clean. Staff all a bit aloof (we are from the NE so that comes as a shock!) eg young lad chewing/blowing gum as served us at the bar. Awful smell as soon as enter hotel area. Greeted with piles of laundry ready for the wash, nasty curtains, fake plants + air freshner (not disguishing the musty smell). Carvery pretty bad - the veg esp. As long as you're aware this is very much a budget/no frills hotel you'll be fine.
