The hostel was amazing with great facilities and fantastic location. The beds and bedding were much more comfortable compared to a hotel. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were fantastic and very cozy. The social area was excellent. The staff provided me immediately with a folder of vegan and vegetarian places nearby. The wasching machines and dryers were excellent and very cheap. I am definitely coming again when I am in Kyoto! :)

Travel in Japan with my Daughter for two weeks for her HS graduation gift. This place was excellent. We booked the twin futon room with shared bathroom. The futon was very comfortable and the AC could literally freeze you out of the room. We had shared the bathroom with males and females sharing the same toilet and showers which I don’t care to, but other than that it was fantastic. You are a five minute walk from the main kyoto station and tons of restaurants. You can use the washer for 300 yen and dryer for 100 yen. ($.5 & $.2) virtually free. Also there is a kitchen and staff is wonderful and usually speak English.
