Reviews say that the place is good value for money but I don't think that's the case at least for our other stays while we were in Japan. Giving a low review for this one as they listed bicycles among their facilities but had none for us to use during our stay. I was surprised as well with the additional fee that was the kyoto tourist tax that they asked for when we checked in.

Not recommend to stay more than a night, it come alot restriction from the China chinese owner. The cleaniness is terrible and the pillow is kids size and terrible for a good sleep. The entire unit has a terrible sound proof therefore you are request to walk very slow in second floor. Probably the good thing is about 10mins walk from Kyoto station and considered cheapest for single room in Kyoto, and bath room still feel ok to use. You better look for other hotel if you plan stay more than a night else you wont be able sleep well like me for 3 days night
