I liked the fact that it was fairly close to the centre of the city.
It was very small for three people.

This hotel is very close to the No 50 city bus (2 min) - stations are a bit further walk but only 10-15 min. Very comfortable bed, tatami space in the room, bath, shower, air conditioner & air purifier. Quiet neighbourhood half way between Kyoto Station and Shijo/Gion areas.

Great little room and location. Comfy and roomy for 1 person as I took the Queen with garden.
Not so much didn't like, was unfortunate it was raining a lot and a downpipe on the building in the garden was not in the proper position, so it was drumming on the plastic bamboo screening. Double glazed sliding door however helped a lot.
