Colours

De gastheer was vriendelijk en behulpzaam, er lag een uitgebreid boekje met persoonlijke aanraders. Elke die we hebben geprobeerd was fantastisch. Verder is Toru een uitstekende gastheer die snel reageert op berichten, ook heeft hij ons geleerd takoyaki te maken!! De gehele sfeer van Colours is prettig, de futons zijn comfortabel en het inchecken ging gemakkelijk. De douche en toilet zijn schoon, maar voor een extra ervaring is er een badhuis tegenover de accomodatie.

This small accommodation feels very local and homey! The staff were super accommodating and friendly. It is also fantastically located to base yourself in Kyoto, about 15min (lovely) walk to the main shopping centre of the city. Very spacious room as well!

The host Toru was sooooo kind and helpful. He would give me suggestions on sightseeing places and share related information with me! And he is always helpful and patient with my questions. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It was equipped with an air cleaners, an air conditioner with heating function and a mattress warmer! Thus I don’t need to worry about the cold weather in Kyoto. It is exactly the old Japanese style that I want to go for. The texture of tatami, the view of the little garden and the surrounding of wooden structures, they are fabulous. Everything was tidy and the living room (a shared space) was full of heart-warming decorations. Multiple types of tea bags were provided, you can enjoy the tea every morning! I wish I could stay here longer and I will definitely revisit if I have chance. Thank you Toru for your hospitality!

Location was central and near lots of bus stops and stations. Could easily walk to a lot of places too Rooms were very traditional and a great size Staff were helpful Overall a good place to stay for a few nights

Rooms could get quite cold. The bathrooms and showers were outside which, in winter, wasn’t ideal. There was also only 1 toilet in the whole place.
