This small accommodation feels very local and homey! The staff were super accommodating and friendly. It is also fantastically located to base yourself in Kyoto, about 15min (lovely) walk to the main shopping centre of the city. Very spacious room as well!

The host Toru was sooooo kind and helpful. He would give me suggestions on sightseeing places and share related information with me! And he is always helpful and patient with my questions. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It was equipped with an air cleaners, an air conditioner with heating function and a mattress warmer! Thus I don’t need to worry about the cold weather in Kyoto. It is exactly the old Japanese style that I want to go for. The texture of tatami, the view of the little garden and the surrounding of wooden structures, they are fabulous. Everything was tidy and the living room (a shared space) was full of heart-warming decorations. Multiple types of tea bags were provided, you can enjoy the tea every morning! I wish I could stay here longer and I will definitely revisit if I have chance. Thank you Toru for your hospitality!

De kamer in authentieke stijl was mooi. Eén privé wc in de kamer was ook top. Daarnaast was de ligging prima om de stad te verkennen. De fietsen die je kan huren zijn ook van goede kwaliteit.

Toen wij er waren was het vrij koud, en gezien deze kamer praktisch los van het huis buiten staat was het binnen dezelfde temperatuur als buiten. Het duurde best een tijdje om dit op te warmen en als je bijvoorbeeld je tanden ging poetsen of ging douchen moest je via buiten, waardoor wij het niet erg comfortabel vonden.

Location was central and near lots of bus stops and stations. Could easily walk to a lot of places too Rooms were very traditional and a great size Staff were helpful Overall a good place to stay for a few nights

Rooms could get quite cold. The bathrooms and showers were outside which, in winter, wasn’t ideal. There was also only 1 toilet in the whole place.
