We had balcony with a view of a castle. We had the softest bed of all Europe, big plush pillows!
Had to carry our luggage upstairs to our room. This is a minor I can’t really any other faults

Location and Friendly Staff!
No complains.

Lovely big room with a sofa (teas facilities, safe, comfortable bed...). Warm room from toasty underfloor heating. Large range of foods on the breakfast buffet. Great location in the middle of town for walking around. Parking available at the accom. Quiet at night.
The room was across the carpark (had to walk outside) and up 2 flights of stairs (no lift). No instructions for room heating, and it was confusing with two dials on the wall and a heat pump too. Shower drain was blocked and shower would overflow if you took longer than 2 mins. I was unable to wash my hair during my stay as I knew I'd need more than 2 mins of water.

Location was excellent and so were the staff. The hotel was really neat and clean, and we had a lovely stay
Its was a bit difficult to climb up and down on the 4th floor without an elevator
The heater in our room wasn't working unfortunately, I hope they fix it for the future guests staying there

A nice hotel with on site car parking. Good location and excellent for two night visit.
I think directions to the parking lot could have been much better. It was stressful trying to locaate the area initially.

It can't be argued that the location is superb. This, however, doesn't seem to outweigh the many disadvantages.
It's a boutique hotel, so, expectedly, the rooms will be small, facilities limited, and the hotel should try to make up in price, food or whatever else. This one comes short.
The room advertised for 2+2 does accommodate that many as long as you don't intend to move around in any way. With the roll-out pulled open the closet doors won't open. The entryway is so crammed we had a challenging logical puzzle as to how to proceed into the room in the first place. Walking around the queen bed, which by the way isn't a queen, just two single beds without a topper, making it impossible for a couple to cuddle, is not really an option e.g. at night, because first you'll likely jam your head into the wall decors, then hammer your toes into every obstacle on the sides of the 40cm passage and finally trigger a motion sensor, which makes the light by the door flash for literally milliseconds, like it's a speed camera. Enough to wake everyone up, hardly helping you to reach the bathroom.
The biggest disappointment remains the manager or owner we had the misfortune of bumping into on check in. As we were about to pay, I was surprised bythe amount and the currency. As it turns out, they made some clicks on the terminal so we would be charged in our currency, not EUR, at an outrageous exchange rate (7-8% margin). Apparently, they were afraid that if we pay in EUR using a foreign card they would be charged some obscure fee by their bank. The client has every right to just say it's their business how they contract their card payments. But I'm a friendly guy so I just explained I'm paying from a EUR account and there'll be no charge on their side. Still, it took showing the guy my bank app and him checking his to be able to pay in EUR, which is demeaning and outright criminal. If I'm not super-busy next week, I'm reporting them.

A very well located hotel in the heart of Fussen, especially good for us as the hotel has parking facilities (payable). the hotel is in the heart of the Main Street in Fussen with an outside bar/restaurant as well as an inside restaurant. We only at breakfast there which was very good with a large number of options.
The room was the other side of the car park but was quiet. It was clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom.
Also, only a 10 minute drive to King Ludwig's Castles.

I loved the convenient location in the beautiful Altstadt. Staff was very friendly and bilingual. While I can speak German, my travel companions could not so that was helpful.
Having two keys for the room would have been ideal given multiple travel companions. We were issued only one.

Ludwig Hotel is exactly as described on their website. It has a huge locational advantage—being very close to the railway station and the bus stop where you can catch a bus to Hohenschwangau and then to the castle. It’s right in the middle of the main square, with plenty of eateries nearby. They serve a decent breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the staff are well behaved. I would definitely recommend it.
The only downside was that I found it a little pricey.

Staff was very helpful. Excellent location and beautiful rooms
No air conditioning. They provided a fan which did help. Cool at nights with the windows open but I believe it was unseasonably hot.

We loved the location, and the large, clean, well-appointed room. One of the staff ensured we had a kettle - she was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent. The location would have been good if every road to the hotel hadn't been blocked by construction causing us and a bunch of other cars to drive around in frustration for two hours straight until the roads reopened. (Apparently Füssen doesn't care to support their local businesses by planning roadwork properly.) Most hotel employees were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Employees gave good advice and directions. The bathrooms were very spacious. Seems like a child-friendly place.
We were told we would be on a lower floor due to a handicapped person in the family, but were placed on the 3rd floor. The room was cold and took awhile to heat up. The bathroom heater had to be repaired so the bathroom was much too cold to shower the first night. There is no shade on the bathroom window for privacy. The bottom half is frosted, but from above there's no privacy when showering. The bathroom mirror is hung so high if you're not tall enough you have to stand on your tiptoes to see. The beds were uncomfortable. In one room they dented in the middle like sleeping in canoe. In the other room the bed was tilted and it was hard to keep rolling off the side. We had plans for the first day which we had to cancel because we could find no way to reach the hotel. The street the hotel told us to take was blocked off as was every other street.

The location is amazing
It is a old building, so it doesn't have elevator. The bathroom is really small.

- We were 4 persons in total (me, my husband, my mum and my aunt) and we received rooms close to another in a sort of a separated area, like an apartment, but each room with its own bath and amenities (plus small chocolates on the pillows which was a very nice touch).
- The breakfast was very good and in a very nice location.
- Location of this hotel is very good, right in the middle of the excitement.
- I also recommend the hotel's restaurant, we ate some really good food there, specific for the area.
The reception hall was a bit too narrow and small so it was difficult when there was a line but it is something you can easily get passed

Lovely hotel. Food was very good. Service was a little slow the night we ate there but to be fair it was Saturday night and was extremely busy. Staff extremely friendly and helpful - telling us the best places to go, helping with calling cabs as we did not speak the language etc. Immaculately clean. Beautiful shower facilities. Value for money is great. Budget hotel prices but definitely not budget hotel standard. Overall a really lovely stay in the most beautiful town.

Great location right in the middle of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful.
No lift, so it was difficult to move our luggage.

Very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and the included bus pass to get to the castle was most welcome and unexpected. Finally, breakfast, at an additional cost, was delicious.
Nothing to dislike, it was perfect.

Very comfortable room.
There was no elevator. Not a problem for us but I can imagine that would be a problem for other people.

We really liked the perfect location in the center of Füssen and the breakfast was amazing (apart from the scrambled eggs). Bathroom was very nice.
No elevator in guesthouse. Parking was full

Nothing they cancelled our booking and sent us somewhere else even though we have booked and paid for it several months in advance the woman in charge was most abusive and unhelpful and simply had booked us in to the Best Western which was indeed a very good hotel however experienced with hotel week was that they overbooked and couldn't come up with what we had pay for several months in advance
We booked and paid for accommodation in the hotel Ludwigs in August, everything was prepaid through bookings.com. When we arrived we were told we have been rebooked into the Best Western another hotel in the town. This was despite the fact that it all been paid for and finalised and we had written confirmation from August. The whole situation was completely unsatisfactory.
We then checked online and the same hotel still had rooms vacant and available at a much lower rate. The website said there's only one room left at that price. The whole situation was completely unacceptable and income total contravention of what we considered to be a contractual agreement
