It's a nice hostel

The hostel is really well located, right in the city centre — you can easily walk everywhere. The staff were very kind and friendly. The room we got was very comfortable and quite spacious, with really comfy mattresses and pillows. The shower was inside the room, which was actually very handy. There was also a fan that helped keep the room cool. We never heard any disturbing noise during our stay. The toilet is outside and shared, but we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it always was, and we never had to wait to use it. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

We had a very unpleasant experience, although it wasn’t because of the hostel itself, but rather due to a woman who claimed to be the building's doorkeeper. When we checked in, the girl at the hostel kindly asked us not to let anyone in from the outside for safety reasons. One afternoon, as we were returning to the hostel, we found a woman standing outside with a phone. We went in, and she tried to enter behind us. We politely told her we couldn’t let her in because we had been asked not to let anyone in from the street. She reacted rudely, saying she was the doorkeeper (though we wondered why she didn’t have a key if that were true). She claimed she had lived there for 36 years and that we were just staying for a few days. Then she started shouting at us and even pushed us, saying we were stopping her from entering her own home. We were never rude to her — we just asked her to please lower her voice. But we didn’t want to escalate the situation, as people like that can be unpredictable and even dangerous. It’s a real shame because the hostel itself is great, but unfortunately, due to that incident, I wouldn’t stay there again.

nightmare, avoid at all costs

We've stayed one night, because the rooms were unlivable: dark, humid, hot. There wasn't any AC to help, just a small fan. Someone slept in the shared bathroom, and the floor smelled like crap. We couldn't sleep at all, we felt physically sick due to these conditions, and it cost 294€ to find a livable place. As the owner of the accommodation refused to give back the price of the 4 nights we did not spend there (I'm pretty sure the room was rented out the very same day we left, as it is in the city center), I'm stuck with 20% of the original price in Booking credits.... Honestly, I would recommend avoiding this place if possible, it doesn't give what it offers and keeps your money. The rating on this site is not valid at all in my opinion, it's so much worse. I'm disappointed and sad.

Great, simple accommodation in the heart of Valencia's old city

A great spot hidden in the middle of the old city. The location couldn't be better (close to the old city, restaurants, shopping, park and all public transport options including main train station and airport transfer) and the room was larger than expected with a balcony, shower and a lot of floor space. Also, everyone working there was lovely and willing to give recommendations, help with transport and store my luggage after checkout.

There was no air conditioning in the room which was challenging in 35+ degrees. A fan was provided but still hot overnight.

Great Location and Unique Stay!

The location was great and it was really neat to be in an older building. Using public transportation was easy because of the location and there was plenty of food options around.

It would get a little uncomfortable in the room during the middle of the day due to the lack of AC but we were rarely there so it wasn't a big deal.

Very Good Place to Stay in Valencia for a Few Days

Excellent location - right in the heart of Valencia’s historic center, just steps from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Valencia Nord train/metro station, and surrounded by restaurants and bars. Very warm and helpful staff. Early check-ins, luggage storage, and personalized assistance. The guy at the reception desk sincerely tried to understand our problems and help us and he succeeded - I am very grateful to him for that!

Beds are basic and not always very comfortable. There is no air conditioning — only a fan, which can be challenging during the hot summer months.

We loved this hostel

The staff was amazing and the room was very nice. We stayed in a private room with 2 twin beds and a private shower. We hung our shower matt out to dry and it dropped over night to the floor below us. The staff offered us a new one and handled the whole thing with grace, speed, kindness, and understanding. The location can’t be beat, only a half block from the main square in valencia and multiple bus stations to get around the city and to the beach!

The location of the hostel is amazing and the room itself was great.

Every day there was a new supply of freshly cleaned towels and bath mat. The staff were very friendly and patient when there were problem before the check-in.(also the pillows were amazing)

It was a bit noisy from the other guest however I’m aware that there isn’t much the staff could do about it.

Location is fantastic. The room was clean and cozy and had all the essentials, even nice towels, hangers and a power strip. It’s nice that they have a reception.

The spring mattress was not very confortable, it was kind of uneven (didn’t say anything because it wasn’t that bad, for me). Internet was a bit slow tbh, but it did work with patience, even streaming. Window was thin and you could hear all the noises from the street but luckily is a pedestrian one.

Disappointing

Right in the city centre. Daily towel change.

The mattress in one of the beds was too worn out to be comfortable. Cold, you cannot set the room temperature, obviously, and it was too cold. We had to use a couple of blankets they provide. The maintenance was way overdue. Multiple marks in the paint, a big humidity stain and peeling. Noisy, you can hear the other guests and the street. Good for one night with her plugs to be in the city centre, that's it.

Really charming and central place, everything worked great!

Great location in a nice old building, daily cleaning and fresh towels. Only a fan, which worked surprisingly well for sleeping and did not make us miss air conditioning. Late check-in worked great thanks to the detailed but not complicated instructions. The shower was just a shower with curtain in the room, which might be okay for couples but would have been weird to use with a friend or sibling. However, there was a shower on the floor which was always clean and nice so that was not a problem.

fantastic value for money, would visit again

perfect location, comfortable beds, 2 fans in the room that worked really well (no ac but these were a perfectly good substitute, we were never too hot). such good value for money. we thought that for what we paid it wouldn’t be very nice and we were pleasantly surprised

only 2 plug sockets in the room were for the fans and next to the sink so we had to charge phones using an extension lead right by the sink. apart from that, zero complaints (even the shared toilet was fine and perfectly clean)

Good Staff and cleaning, congested room with no airflow.

Location was central and good.

I had ordered twin beds for the double room but it was a double bed with a single pillow. Also, the space becomes congested and suffocating and becomes very hot. I wouldn't recommend it during summers or even fall when the temperature outside is 30-20 degrees. The shower is congested as well and you would need to manage.

Nice but needs air conditioning!

The staff working at this property were fantastic! So kind and helpful

The lack of air conditioning made staying here unbearable. It was actually hotter inside the room than it was outside. We had to leave halfway through our stay due to not being able to sleep at night from the heat. This Hostel really has potential to be gorgeous and I would definitely come back if air conditioning was installed.
