Great place to stay!

We liked everything about this accommodation! From the first moment you walk in the family is really friendly. The place is super clean and the room gets cleaned everyday, the beds are super comfortable. You have so many options for breakfast wether you want a small or big breakfast. It's 2min walk to the big supermarket, you can walk down 5min to the beach, 10 min in to town and 15 to the port. Really worth staying here in such a quiet area still close to everything. If back in Naxos we would definitely stay at Sunlight Naxos again 😊

fantastic

Our stay at Sunlight Naxos was simply fantastic! The location is ideal, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the staff is always willing to help, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, the outdoor area with the pool was a true sanctuary, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Loved it

Very clean and it respects quite well the Cycladic atmosphere. The breakfast is diversified. Like the view in the room, if you get a room which has view to the sea you can see every evening a beautiful sunset. I think this is one of the things that I liked most. Pool is cleaned every night. Towels and cleaning in the room daily. You make about 15 min by walking to the center of Naxos city, which is perfect because you don’t stay in the crowded area, but also not too far from it. About less than 5 minutes of walking there is a supermarket.

A warm welcome with a bottle of local wine from the owner and fruit combined with a very nice and clean room made our stay excellent. Very good breakfast. We enjoyed the sunset from our balcony and the quiet of the pool.

The breakfast is amazing and the location is good for resting just a 25 minute walk to the centre of Naxos. The staff is very welcoming and you get a pretty good room.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower. The space is so tiny that the shower curtains stick to you body. I had to shower with one part of the curtain open to be able to move. I think it would be better if the changed the curtains for sliding doors.

The worst nights ever

The breakfast is reasonable.

Where to begin... the information provided by the hotel is wrong, we are a couple, we booked a double bed and they gave us 2 single beds, I talked with the staff and the man at the reception said that I had to pay an extra 100€! I wanted to cancel at least part of the days, and they were inflexible and didn't provide us with acceptable options... the toilet is dated like everything in that room (not like we had seen on the pictures), the support of the shower does not work (we had to hold the shower whilst we were shampooing), also the toilet is very small, and gets wet very easily. And last but not least, the mattresses were awful!!! We passed the worst 4 nights ever there. Right after the first night, I got back pain. We could feel the used springs of the mattress every time we changed sides during sleep. Also, the isolation is terrible, and we could hear everything outside, people coming downstairs running, people talking and closing the doors... In general, the staff isn't very friendly except the cleaning lady.

Very Pleasant

The breakfast was nice for the pride of the venue. Cleaning stuff visited the room every day. The staff was friendly and very helpful providing also lots of information regarding the island. The beach was fairly close, about ten minutes.

The building looked old and definitely needs some renovation and the bathroom was not spacious other than that was great for the price.

Superb

We booked the deluxe studio for a week and we had a very pleasant staying. The position of the studio is very strategic as it allows to easily reach the city centre. The breakfast was satisfying and of high quality. Last but not least, the cleaning service was outstanding. Highly recommended.

good location, lovely pool and garden, lovely breakfast, nice staff but low comfort inside the room

There is a lot to like about Sunlight. The location is good and close to a decent beach, shops and restaurants and the property has a lovely and beautiful garden. While the property is set on the main road, there was not much traffic on this during our stay. The pool is nice and the sunbeds and breakfast area are very nice and tastefully done. Our room had a balcony overlooking the breakfast terrace. The breakfast was very good and excellent value and the manager was very helpful and pleasant. Very nice quality and clean bedlinen.

The fittings of the room were old and out of step with the exterior which was done recently and with taste. The interiors could be made a lot nicer even with minimum spend. The towels provided were very old and a a mismatch of colours which seemed odd and amateur compared to the size of the hotel and the excellent quality and state of the bedlinen. Our room had some large daybed which took up a lot of space and which made the room feel cramped and there was not much space for our two large suitcases. The room would be a lot better without this furniture. About 5 hangers in the closet meant we kept our clothes in the suitcase. The airco was not very powerful and we felt hot in our room.

Pool area was nice, beds were good and the pool itself was pretty good.

- Reception desk rarely staffed, e.g. upon arrival (5pm on a Sunday) reception was closed. I then went to speak to the lady in the morning regarding our room being unclean but no one was around for another half hour. - Rooms were very basic (we had a deluxe double studio). Quite small and quite dated but overall did the job. - The room wasn’t clean upon our arrival (hairs in and around the sink area), room was subsequently re-cleaned but still the hairs remained. - Room was very noisy, we could hear all other rooms and noise from outside. - Breakfast was quite poor, very unusual items and very little selection - the quality of items wasn’t great. - The images on booking.com are not accurately representative of reality - the images have a filter applied which distorts it from reality.

Great value for money ratio, cleaning lady was very kind and kept our room every day clean, the facilities in the hotel are good (internet, pool, hammocks, they even lended us a jenga to play)

It is a little bit far away from the city center but that is nothing that you don’t know before booking it, mattress is indeed a bit hard for some people (like my boyfriend) but for me it was ok.

Was a pleasant hotel, but the attitude of reception staff spoilt the experience for us.

The hotel was a ten minute walk from the main town. The room was clean and neat with either a balcony or small outdoor area. The breakfast was very nice with a range of food. The pool area had lovely day beds and lounges. Similarly the outdoor breakfast area was very pleasant. The cleaning staff were lovely.

The reception staff were unhelpful and abrupt. Despite requesting two rooms next to each other for our group we were placed on separate floors and the receptionist refused to move us unless we paid for a 80 Euro upgrade. There was no shower curtain so our room flooded, and although one was provided when we complained reception staff left us to clean up the water and take the saturated towels to them. There were builders working in the reception/breakfast area and the toilet was smelly in that area.
