Lovely personal, cosy bed

The women were ABSOLUTELY lovely and kind. The bed was comfortable. Could've been a LITTLE cleaner, but its not like I was disgusted or anything. All in all the stay was amazing and if I'll come back to donny I'll book here again.

The Hotel manager, Catherine, is an exceptionally nice person. My wife forgot a couple of her rings, and she duly posted them to us. Although they were not of much financial value, they were of immense sentimental value. We appriecaited that so much. Glod Bless her.

Access to town was great easy to walk to in ten minutes

Very hard to find initially better shnsge to get there and at hotel doesn't look like a hotel at all so easy to miss signage would help

The car park

The rooms are like prisons. No window, 2” inch mattresses that you just feel the hard base through. I’ve literally slept more comfortably in police cell…. And ended up sleeping in my car instead!

Nothing, apart from the staff were nice and helpful.

Room was not really clean. I had to wipe (what I hope was) tomato sauce off the wardrobe. Furniture and decor was very dated, marked etc. Flooring was worn. The so called Continental breakfast was only £4.50, but was shocking. Police taking statements in reception when I arrived. Different police taking statements for a different incident when I left the next day. Plus a police officer hiding in an alcove in the first floor hallway. Mattress very cheap and I could squash it down with my hand, so you are sleeping on the bed base. It was only £40 for a Saturday night, but avoid this place

Disappointed

I have stayed before and not had an issue with my stay, left positive feedback, Shower was good, water pressure good. Plenty of clean towels.

I was placed in a room with no window, which I found uncomfortable and enclosed, no natural light and no fresh air. Bed was very creaky and uncomfortable, needs replacing. Bathroom floor was not clean. Damage repaired room floor. Sink was small with a shelf directly above it, making sink almost unusable.

Good value for money.

Had to book last minute, as 2 previous bookings had let us down, but staff at Primelodge were very nice and helpful. The free parking was a bonus too.

The room was quite small, but for the price we paid, it wasn't a problem.

Nightmare dont book

The room was dirty was on a floor with wot I can only describe as alcoholics who was in an out the room all night banging doors tell gone 4 in the morning so didn't get any sleep all night an my 8 year old granddaughter was petrified I come bk on the sat an packed my stuff an had to find somewhere else to stay cause they shouldn't let kids stay there I felt very unsafe I was also told I'd been put in the homeless part I've emailed the hotel for a full refund but still waiting for a reply

Location and staff Location is brilliant 1 mile to center Staff really friendly and helpful.

Rooms are in need of maintence and dirty Terrible smell in the rooms A lot of it seems ex convicts stay here which makes it feel a very uncomfortable place to stay. I personally wouldn't recommend at all.

Cheap and cheerful stay

Friendly welcome. Good location for the city centre - 10 min walk. The shower was very powerful and the water was very hot. Security on site.

Like the other reviews say it needs some tlc. But for the price paid, you know that it's functional and does the job for a short stay.

Short budget stay

Well located for a short 10 minute walk into town and railway station. Plenty of parking available, rooms were spacious and comfortable with ensuite shower.

Breakfast was very basic, though they did state this at the time of booking. Could probably do with a makeover, but you get what you pay for.

Great location, nice staff, accommodation was spotless, comfortable but basic, shower was very hot and powerful. A great value stay. Would totally stay again! The breakfast was all you could need for start the day, focus on the basics but very good

Staff welcoming, lovely pillows

Looked grubby, no window in the bedroom, room very hot with only a noisy fan to cool it, floor had Lino not carpet and wasn’t clean, no bedside light an the wall light by bed had no bulbs in. I could go on but I won’t

Don't go on first impressions

Friendly staff, 24/7 security which made me feel safe, clean and spacious room. Ideal for an overnight stay to break up my journey. Also only 5 mins to town or Lakeside village in the car. Price was great

Many speak about the private guests but to be fair there was no issue at all. The thing I didn't like was where it is situated. The industrial estate is really scruffy and rundown, this unfortunately was echoed in the entrance/reception, a bit of lick and spit (paint, new reception desk) would remedy this. No facility for an evening meal.
