Friendly staff and reasonable facilities made it a worthwhile stay.

It was convenient for the purpose of my visit. The bed was comfortable. Near the main reason for being in Doncaster. Not too far from the station. The night porter was very helpful.

The room was very cold. The cost was far too high. The cost was way more than any of my friends who also stayed in the hotel. The coffee was not hot enough. The toaster was really not good, very slow and one of the other guests burned the toast accidentally as a result.

The bedding unfortunately hadn't been changed. Sheets were dirty. Was moved to a bigger room but carpet was very stained. Staff were apologetic

We stayed new years eve it was very cold window in room did not close leaving gaps causing adraft heating did not come on till 4pm but room room was already ice cold but with draft from window it did not warm much good job we only stayed one night

Location to town is excellent. Car parking is free,checking in and out went seamlessly.

Lovely stay in affordable hotel

Some of the rooms are very nice and quiet and clean. We were able to book rooms at short notice so plenty of availability.

One time we stayed we were in a room above the function room which unfortunately was quite noisy. The car park is quite small so you will neet to spend a little time finding parking.

Unfortunately it was disappointing! The staff was disrespectful, and here I mean a lady manager, she treated us with indifference, ridicule and superiority! very disappointed with the cleanliness, with absolutely everything!!!

Location was so good. Traveling around Doncaster by foot was marvellous. The Regent is also located at the good part of town, away from the chaos of Silver Street etc. It’s also a family run business, so Simon and his team are dedicated to making every stay memorable. The actual regency architecture of the premises makes it quite quirky, which is definitely a good thing from my point of view Traveling as a single woman, I felt a sense of safety in this establishment

No bar fridge in my room! Visiting from Australia not having accessible cold drinks was a challenge. The front of house bar staff alleviated this by jugs of house… but it was a bit of a mind bungle that fridges were not just available?

Disappointing.

Comfortable bed.

We didn’t get the best welcome on arrival. Arrived as part of a wedding party and asked if we could put the brides luggage behind reception until she arrived which didn’t seem appreciated. Asked if we could book in our room as it was after 2 but told sternly only if it’s ready which it was. The bar next to reception kept telling us to go the to the other bar despite not being busy. Another member of staff was shouting that she just wanted to go home. The room was dated which I accept but the shower and bathroom needed a good clean! Had i realised this earlier in the day I would have asked to be relocated. The room smelt of cooking as the window was open and we must have been above the kitchens. Left early the next day as wanted to get home to a clean shower nobody at reception to speak to and no key box so had to just leave the keys on the desk. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn’t return.

Good choice for short stay near centre of Doncaster

Good location near centre of town. Exceptionally good service from friendly staff. Good to have onsite parking - even though a little cramped. Kept restaurant open for a very nice dinner.

Bed was a bit small - double rather than queen, but was as described in listing. Water off briefly in middle of night, but restored by early morning.

Breach of health and safety

Our room door wouldn’t open from the inside so if there was a fire we would have been trapped. The radiator was on full and wouldn’t turn down.

Nice place to stay in a good location

Location great. Staff fantastic. Views from window were perfect. Room generally clean but is coming close to refresh time

The plumbing was iffy , the taps would suddenly make strange noises. Next door clearly had the same issue as I could hear it through the wall. Room was small meaning the bed was against the wall on one side. Totally understand this is down to the building layout but was annoying and uncomfortable
