No heat in the bathroom, almost no water pressure.

The room was so small one person would have no space to get out of bed without climbing over the other, there was only 1 chair, also a lot of noise from outside making it hard to sleep

Good hotel at a great price. Not super-modern, but provided everything that was needed with really friendly staff. Super comfortable bed. Wifi was great in the lobby, but in my room at the far end of a corridor it was too weak to use for much - struggled to get 1mbps, which would have been a problem if I was there for business. Similarly, hot water in the shower was fine when it arrived, but it did take some minutes. I imagine this is an end-room issue.

The location was great. The check in staff were fantastic. The rooms were clean. However this was all spoiled the next morning when we went for breakfast. It’s a buffet breakfast but with over an hour to go the team member refused to put out any additional hot food. When she eventually did she said we could only have 1 hash brown each etc. some other people came down for breakfast and asked only for the staff member to say that we must have eaten all the food as she just put some out. This was very embarrassing and I don’t know why she did it. If I’m paying £15 for a breakfast I will have 2 sausages and 2 hash browns without being made to feel awful. Also the bread rolls were hard as rocks.

The room was ok, staff when we arrived were lovely but the whole stay was spoiled with breakfast the next morning. The staff member was extremely rude, wouldn’t refill the food even though there was an hour left on it and when she eventually did bring more food out she shamed people for having 2 hash browns when people according to her only have 1. I could see this has actually upset some women on the next table also when the staff member shouted that they must have eaten all of the hash browns because she just filled them. I don’t think she understands how a buffet works. I didn’t see anything around a policy of limited items on a buffet breakfast and I’ve never had this at any other hotel buffet I’ve stayed at. For £15 you should be able to pick what you want. I was planning on giving a great review before this and it has totally spoiled our stay.

Room was clean , staff were friendly and helpful. Central location ideal if no car. Slight issue at check in , delayed due to staff sickness but staff dealt with it well , even upgrading me to a better room. Breakfast was good too

We got a freee upgrade to a premium room as the hotel was fully booked. It was a great room. Clean, good sized bed, waterfall shower and aircon.Would stay here again and staff were so lovely.

The room was lovely, the reception staff were great. Breakfast was extremely poor unfortunately. Hot plates were not kept topped up so hardly got anything and what we had was lukewarm and soggy. Unfortunately an incorrect charge was taken from my card after my stay which I queried and the hotel admitted it was a mistake and it would be refunded. This has still not been refunded and has put me in some difficulty this week so I’m very upset about this.

I stayed for 9 nights. PROS: the staff. Faith was a great face for thw property and checked me in efficiently and was very friendly and accommodating. Ice bucket ready Paige was very sweet.professional and also went out of her way. She was always there for me with an ice bucket. (A big deal for me as there is no fridge in the room). Oliver, i did not see as much, but was always pleasant. Rene was very professional balanced with friendliness. He gave me the courtesy of asking about my stay and, more importantly, listened and took note of my concerns and suggestions. I hope that they are passed on and considered. Also, that i receive feedback regarding the issues having been addressed. Cons: housekeeping was lacking in attention to detail but slso cleanliness. The lamp hanging over the bed was dusty. There were no facecloths in the bathroom for me to clean it and wipe down spills. They emptied the bins (which had no bags) and changed the towels. Other than that, there was no apparent cleaning or vacuuming. The rooms are small so there is not much space for things. I dod leave items on the bed, so i understand policy is not to make the beds. No problem. The wardrobe was a bit fusty, due to humidity, which did permiate clothing. All of this was conveyed to Rene, who i am sure will have it in hand. I forgot to tell Rene about the above sink light not working. No phone in room ( not unusuL wirh motels)There is a switch to turnon power to heat and towel rack.

✅ Pros Excellent location: Situated right in Doncaster town centre, very convenient for shops, transport, and local attractions. Privilege room assignment: Thankfully given a quieter room not facing the High Street, which helped reduce noise. Room amenities: Reasonable space. Small fridge was a lifesaver during the hot August weather. ⚠️ Cons Noise issues: Hotel is surrounded by clubs and bars on the High Street. Even in a quieter room, low bass noise persisted late into the night. Tip: Request a room away from the street when booking. Wardrobe design flaw: Hangers placed above the fridge area. No ability to move hangers to a more spacious section. No suitable space for hanging longer garments like suits or dresses. Bed accessibility: Bed is unusually high. Difficult for older guests to climb in and out comfortably. Lighting inconvenience: Bedside lamps have no switches. No master control to turn off all lights from the bed. Requires getting up to switch off lights manually. Housekeeping lapse: Body soap dispenser was empty during shower. Requested refill took over 20 minutes with no action until chased. Very disappointing response time, especially when tired and needing rest. Basic amenities like soap should be checked and stocked proactively.
