Noisy, poorly maintained

Staff were polite

Room was nothing like shown in photos, furniture was damaged, bathroom was mouldy and there were very loud guests on site all night (but no staff)

Pretty much bare bones accommodation. Rough and ready.

Friendly reception and staff generally.

Bedroom carpet was very grubby. General appearance in condition of room and communal areas requiring a lot of TLC. No bedside table lamp. No armchair. All pretty basic. No breakfast facility.

I cant give it a 0 star but this was very very poor. Dirty bathroom. Dirty room. Dirty water even after running it for 10mins. Carpet is terrible dirty old. BED was an old old mattress with springs very much out the bed awful to sleep barely got no sleep

Location is great.

Facilities are worn and tired. Mattress uncomfortable and everything’s just very old,rusty or mouldy. I stripped my bed to help out at the end of my stay and the mattress was very stained

Would not return

Live music on very loud until midnight. I saw the hotel was advertised with a pub/nightclub but I did not expect the noise to be as loud as it was. It was almost like they were in the room with us. No sound proofing at all. Could also hear people in the rooms around us. Toilet cistern making noise throughout the whole night. Constant water trickling into the toilet and the cistern flushing throughout the night. Not much room in the en suite. Bed super uncomfortable. Pillows like pancakes so very uncomfortable. Lights flickered constantly. We had to have the main lights turned off the whole time due to them flickering on and off. We couldn't have the curtain open due to the house right behind having a camera. Had to use the lamp which was quite dull.

Diabolical

Good location for where we wanted to be. Charlene was very helpful, friendly and apologetic

1st room we were given had massive hole in radiator cover, unbearable smell. Charlene moved us to a twin as no more doubles available, carpets covered in dirt and stains, bedding and towels stained, bin really dirty,bits of loo roll all on bathroom floor, no clean running water,it was cloudy murky water,1 room the curtains and track fell down, dressing table top unclean snd thick with sticky stuff All in all the rooms were diabolical and had there been anywhere else we coukdhavd stayed we wouldn't have stayed there

We arrived on a Friday evening during a pub quiz - we were told that all quietened down at 11 pm, however it was more like midnight before all of the music went off.

A very uncomfortable stay, would have left if it wasn't so late, arrived after a six hour drive.

A big hole in the wall entering the room, mould on the ceiling in the shower, dirty marks on the furniture. Slept on top of the sheets, dirty towels. felt dirty and highly uncomfortable.

Cheap but not cheerful

Large TV in the room

The TV was just about falling off the wall, there was no shower gel in the bathroom, the carpet and chair were filthy, the side of the bed was stained and had chewing gum stuck on it. The TV remote was sticky. The sheets felt itchy, though that could have been the general filth, the walls were paper thin and the mattress felt like the springs were well used and on their way out.

Very disappointing, however it was not their fault I didn’t read throughly what was/wasn’t included.

Room in the front faced busy main road, very noisy. Breakfast not included. Bed ok. Shower place rather shabby….but brilliant shower.

I missed the online description of facilities provided….that did not include toiletries … They played constant popular music, non stop until closing time…

Reserved the hotel as was needing to stay close to work. Online check in was by 11pm I got an email to confirm this would be okay. I was at the hotel for 10:40pm, no lights was on and no option to check in. I had to therefor find somewhere else to stay. Avoid

Stay away

Only the location

Cleaning was poor, bed was uncomfortable, the room was cold even though radiator was on. Family room right over pub entrance so noise from people standing outside smoking and music from bar. Bathroom had nowhere to hang your towels and toilet paper had to sit on sink! A bulb had gone in the room and when we went out in the morning, no one around to report issues to! We paid for two nights but was so uncomfortable and cold that we left after one night

Very poor

I was initially given room 8 which had broken toilet and TV on floor. To make things worse, the toilet had very black dirty water in in like it never been cleaned. Honestly, I will not even put my enemy in that room.

Bed rubbish Mattress had metal prings digging into me Walls too thin No security as anyone could walk through door Like 12" TV. Don't know how it still deemed fit to operate

Stayed here for a family birthday. Booked 4 rooms all ensuite. Had to move 2 members of the party to another room no ensuite due to severe mould in the room... one was asthmatic

general condition of facilities in room. no heating, no spoons to make tea/coffee, had to relocate kettle to bedside table as tv shelf was not suitable place to boil kettle, on coldest night of year to date there was no additional bedding. lacking bedside light so made navigation in dark from light switch to bed interesting. general update to all facilities definitely needed.

This is possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for about 10 years. As well as a chugging radiator, the worlds flattest mattress, stained bedding and minging carpets, the bin was still full from the last guests. There was one cup and glass between the two of us and no spoons just a used plastic fork with stains on it. I’ve never had ketchup and mayo as an option in my tea tray either. I wrapped a towel round my pillow as I couldn’t fathom putting my face directly on theirs. I couldn’t even have a drink of water or a cuppa tea as it came out the tap like this! What a dump
