Lovely place, but maybe take some earplugs.

Very nice comfortable and cosy room as pictured. Friendly hosts and great location for the town centre and railway station.

The rooms are very close together and walls are thin, so you do hear other people coming and going, making phone calls, talking to each other and everything else into the night. It's not the owners' fault, but as a light sleeper I was only getting a few hours during the quiet moment between the late night people going to bed and the early risers getting up.

Perfect for what we needed

Arch House is in a central location and has parking on-site. We were able to get and early check in as we were heading to a wedding. Equally, the next day, we were able to leave our luggage and browse the town. The staff were very helpful and the room was exactly what we needed.

All was as we expected. Nothing we didn't like.

It was a Saturday night and next door guests came back at 3am. Could hear TV in nextdoor bedroom. A bit pricy for an interrupted sleep.

Lovely staff to deal with, great location we had a great family get together

Great helpful staff, when we arrived the rooms were cold, but the staff member came up right away and we were cosy and warm in no time My husband left his watch in the room and we were contacted within an hour of leaving and he was able to go back for it. He was very grateful for this.

Everything was great about the stay, the installations were great! and the staff were perfect!

One of the showers wasn't heating well and the staff when contacted take care of the issue right away, they get the technician within an hour, and all was fixed, Excellent attention!!

Great location and comfortable room!

I loved this location! It was an easy walk from the train station and to the main part of town. My room was on the backside of the house away from the road, so it was nice and quiet. The room had a private bath and was a perfect size for me. I also appreciated the tea kettle with tea and instant coffee. The host had some great recommendations and was very welcoming!

The check-in office was not very clear, but once I found it the host was very helpful and even walked me to my room.

Great B&B and location

Staff were so friendly and helpful as soon as I arrived. Room was clean and fresh and perfect for my needs. Clean towels were offered every day and were soft and smelt lovely! Bedding was great quality and slept better than at home.

One very small issue with the shower but was sorted immediately when I told housekeeping.

I never got to see the "breakfast" ! The property is advertised as a B&B and Apartments. I booked B&B for €120 to be told afterwards that breakfast was not included. It is nothing short of false advertising and certainly did not represent value for money.

A superb stay for my dad and uncle.

This place is just superb, I booked it for my dad and uncle so they could visit another family member. They loved their stay, everything was so comfortable and all the little things really made it so welcoming especially the breakfast. The contact from Joanne in management before this stay was super so my dad knew what to do on arrival.

Good Place in Athlone.

The location is very good - very central, a few steps to the main street and a little walk from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities, incl. tea/coffee-making facilities. It's a good find in Athlone.

I left my sun screen behind on the washbasin! I was a little confused about a 'pre-authorisation' on a debit card, which I think was more like a deposit, actually; the amount looked like it was debited twice from my card, but in the end only one amount taken. A regular bath mat (towel) would have been better than the mat in the bathroom. Not sure if the heating worked well/easily.

The location was great. Close to town center, restaurants, pubs, and the castle. The room was small and the beds were fine but not super comfortable. Bathroom was super small but useable.

The walls were paper thin and we heard everything out neighbors said and did. That was distracting when trying to get to sleep.

Much better than expected- clean, comfortable and very good breakfast.

Likes- great shower, super bed, linens and towels. Breakfast was very good and varied. Very clean and good up to date facilities. Manager/Owner was very attentive and helpful. Dislikes - parking is extremely tight and requires multiple 3pt turns to get out. Damage is likely. While location is in popular downtown, locating the position is tricky even with GPS. Staircase is narrow and has 2 turns to 2nd floor rooms.
