Great hotel, everything you need
We booked so we could visit the spa, when we went to the spa we were told it was full for the day but had all day free the next day so no need to book just come down. Went down and was told it was full, could have stayed somewhere else if we knew they didn’t want us to use the spa.

Beautiful big spacious rooms with incredible view, staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely fresh and tasty. Excellent choice for breakfast. Spa was amazing.. completely tranquil..we really enjoyed our stay.
It was a little far out of the centre so this did mean we had to rely on uber taxis but otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Spacious rooms - ok breakfast
I stayed at this hotel in Valencia. The room was clean and spacious, but the air conditioning was weak and there was an unpleasant smell inside. The price for parking was out of control.
What truly disappointed me, however, was the pricing. €400 per night was already excessive for the quality offered, and I now see the rate has increased to over €1,000 per night. No level of service or additional cost can justify such greed.
This kind of price gouging is unethical and shows a lack of respect for guests. I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Close to a Metro station and in quiet area
Disappointing experience, starting from unpleasant staff to very poor breakfast and passable level of rooms. Not a family or holiday place, but may be a night if you got stuck in Valencia.
To be precise, very rude reception desk at check-in, very poor breakfast and unpleasant staff. In addition, no conciergerie or help with your luggage.
The room are max 2 star hotel level and not very clean, you have to ask twice to get things change.
In the room, you don't even get a bottle of water. It is supposed to be a 4-star hotel.
Being around the world and stayed few times in spain, I would say it was the worst human experience.

Staff generally were good
We were not informed prior to arriving at the hotel that Israeli sports teams would be staying in the hotel. This in itself was not to me a problem but. What I found very disturbing and uncomfortable was the level of security. So armed police with side arms and automatic weapons both inside and out side the hotel. I spoke to the duty manager who told me I should feel safe with armed police in the hotel.
, absolute joker. As I explained, if I had not pre paid this hotel I would have checked out. Very poor from Melia who seem to think it is ok not to inform paying guests and give them a choice of changing hotel.

Super nice location, very nice staff and amazing room. You could actually walk to the center
The only thing I’d say is that you had to pay extra for spa (indoor pool) and we didn’t know that.

I like the decent size of the room plus the big wide window. The king size bed is pretty nice and ther bathroom is excellent!
The refrigerator has barely enough room for our pesonal stuff because it is pre-loaded with for-a-fee items which are junk food and drinks to begin with and probably will cost us an arm and a leg if we used them.

Our room was very comfortable, beds were great and the staff were also very helpful and friendly.
The location isn't the closest to the old town however we didn't mind as there was plenty around to see and we don't mind walking alot in city breaks (took us about 40 minutes to get to the old town by foot).
Beautiful city, great coffee spots.
I paid for a massage and spa access one of the days and was disappointed with the whole experience. When I went down early I asked to change my appointment to an earlier time to which I was told they were full, this was fine however while I was there another woman arrived in asking to move her appointment to another day, the appointment was the time I wanted and for a massage. When I asked to have this space I was told no.
The spa it self has the potential to be beautiful, the features are lovely but I found it to be a little grubby and some of the feature showers didn't work. The floors were not clean either in the spa.
The massage therapist was lovely but inexperienced, this was very apparent throughout my massage.
There was also a stag do arrive on our 3rd day at the hotel. This would have been fine however they started to fight infront of other guests and their kids by the pool. Not really the experience you choose Melia Hotels over.

Plenty of space to sit and relax.
The coffee at the breakfast was terrible. It was one of those machines and they were not even operating correctly. The breakfast food was very good.

The staff (especially Ray) was helpfull but still they could not help with the costs which increased substatially.
My backpack was stolen in the lobby of the Hotel upon arrival while waiting for our room. In my back pack was my passports, lap top and CC among others. The staff was helpfull but it costed me a lot of additional money. They provided a lower the rate for some part of the stay but I had to still pay. The Hotel is lacking security and there was not even a bellboy for help with the luggages. After this incident the security/bellboy appeared. I had to request new passports all with a lot of additional costs not planned for and lost my cruise with the family. I am very disappointed that this hotel has virtually no security.

The property was brilliant, the room was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in, the views from the room were amazing, it was very luxurious, clean and well maintained. The facilities at the hotel were outstanding. We enjoyed the cocktail bar, the pool area and the bar downstairs in the foyer. Overall an amazing hotel and we will definitely revisit.
There was nothing we didn’t like - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Facilities were beautiful
Had a first room that smelled horrible like some kind of mix between smoke and humidity, the bathroom smell was the worst I still don't know what was that weird smell... Staff helped us giving us another room, bathroom still smelled bad but a least it was less smoky however A/C was malfunctioning with no way to adjust it to be colder... Horrible sweaty night first and last time on this hotel.

Bath was exceptional. Housekeeping was great.
A/C was limited but that could be an American issue. We like our rooms cold at night. Room's carpet is beginning to show some excessive wear.
6.0 / 10.0
The bar lounge area. Plenty seating area.
The bedroom had a smell which was a cleaner masking a permanent odour. The shower lacked any power and the temperature was impossible to control. The beds were made to a very low standard. The swimming pool area was badly maintained with glasses left scattered around the floor and cigarette butts were left all over the floors there and in the outside seating areas outside the main entrance. Very poor food quality in both the restaurant and bar. Breakfast was like a rugby scrum and not enough food on offer due to the number in the dining area.
We’ve stayed at Melia hotels for over 25 years and this is the worst experience we’ve ever had
Also the parking charges were extortionate and were only fractionally cheaper than a casual day visitor.
Finally, the staff were unable to enroll us on the reward points scheme. We were at the desk for 30 minutes and they still could not find a way of getting it done.
Overall we were very disappointed and. Or in keeping with the standard we would associate with Melia Hotels

I find the breakfast bacon and sausages not great, and in general the food is ok, but the bar menu is poor.
