Wine and dine in relaxing atmosphere

Nice property, great garden by the pool. Excellent facilities, well kept. Restaurant is great. Lives up to the “gourmet” name. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Cordial and efficient staff.

Rooms can be warm in summer, but luckily there is aircon. Romes are traditionally furnished, for some it might be a letdown.

Not worth your time or money. Rude receptionist made our stay totally awkward & unenjoyable.

Room was ok, but smelly. Shower cabin was tiny. Balcony had a weird slope and couldn't be used.

The female receptionist was super unfriendly - in fact pretty rude, as she didn't even bother to look up, greet or offer any assistance whatsoever. Constantly made us feel as if we are 'disturbing' her. We felt entirely unwelcome. Also, they would charge extra for anything they could come up with: Extra for parking (which is free on all streets around the hotel), 5 Euro to bring some milk for coffee to the room (as there was none).

It was nice and relaxing but maybe not quite worth the price.

The breakfast is good. There are apples and nuts available in the spa area, which was a nice touch. The bed is amazing, and there are hiking trails all around.

The minibar was empty, which was surprising given the price—I expected it to be stocked. Also, if you buy something from the nearby store, the fridge doesn’t keep it cold. On the balcony, we didn’t have much privacy since neighbors across the street could see us. Some dinners lacked seasoning, and the fish was very dry.

From the moment I stepped foot into the tranquil oasis, I was greeted with a sense of serenity that immediately transported me into a state of pure relaxation. The spa itself was exquisitely designed, with soothing colors, soft lighting, and a calming ambiance that created the perfect atmosphere for indulging in much-needed rejuvenation. The attention to detail was impeccable, evident in every aspect of the spa, from the plush robes and slippers provided to the gentle melodies playing in the background. The range of treatments offered was simply outstanding. Whether you're seeking a blissful massage to ease away tension and knots or a revitalizing facial to revive your skin's natural glow, the spa's skilled therapists catered to every need with expertise and care. Their professionalism and knowledge of various techniques ensured that each treatment was tailored to my specific preferences, leaving me feeling utterly pampered and renewed. One standout feature of the spa was its state-of-the-art facilities. The relaxation areas boasted comfortable loungers where I could unwind between treatments, and the sauna and steam rooms provided a blissful retreat for detoxifying and invigorating the senses. I particularly enjoyed the tranquil swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a serene view that added to the overall tranquility of the experience. on their website it says ski facilities and even though there was no snow , if there would have been snow there were no facilities

we had to push a lot for trying to find a solution for our problem as we were planning to ski. we left the hotel after one night and had to pay the other 3 night we booked too. we tried to contact them but no reply on our emails as the promised is to do so. we saw all nights we sold so they our room again and only give us a part of 2 nights back. and again didn’t reply on our emails.

We felt super comfortable during our stay at Adler. Very polite and warm staff and so attentive to details, amazing (again...amazing) food, very comfortable and clean rooms, cozy lobby, well-thought concept of wellness, small & quiet town and great location to move around for hiking/biking etc.

Perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the Black Forest atmosphere

Beautiful hotel, with an amazing SPA. The room was great and the service was very good with very kind people (even if not speaking English fluently, everything went super well, no problem at all).

The reception area, swimming pool were nicely designed.

I am not one to complain for the sake of it, but in my opinion this hotel is over-rated. We had a room with a bath but discovered that the hot water is temperature controlled at around 42c which is not very hot, but when I wanted a bath before dinner it ran cold. After a long drive that is really irritating. The real issue is the three course dinner. There is no choice for the starter or the pudding and only two for the main. We could not drink the onion and mushroom soup as it was so salty. That had to be returned in favour of a very plain green salad. The next course which consisted of beef, cabbage and potatoes was ruined by a very salty gravy. The pudding was some form of de-constructed cheese cake but I found it indelible as the texture was not pleasant and perhaps a little stale. So much for the gourmet dinner, serving food reminiscent of 30 years ago. The other irritation was a wine card that only had a couple of wines by the glass so no chance to taste decent German wine.

Relaxing wellness and all around care!

The food is legendary! its light and well portioned amounts, healthy and well becoming. The interior of the SPA is designed appealingly and modern.

Some minor things didn't work: such as the Jacuzzi jets or the mirror light in the bathroom. Shower could be a little larger. But this is complaining on a high level.

Nice hotel with clean rooms, good breakfast, kind staff and nice swimming pool / sauna's. Good location for hikes and day trips to other parts of the black forest.

As it is not a budget hotel but a 4* wellness hotel: - I would have expected complementary tea making facilities, either in the room or in the common areas. Instead they charged me €5 for a pot of water with a simple teabag (it wasn't even room service, I went to the lobby to get it). - I would not have expected to sleep on a chunky cheap pillow from a well-known Swedish furniture store.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Spa-Bereich ist schön und modern. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet mit einer grossen Auswahl, auch für Allergiker. Es hatte wirklich für alle etwas dabei.

Wir hatten nichts Negatives. Alles war angenehm und stimmig, und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Essen: gute Philosophie von Freude und Leichtigkeit mit Emulsionen - gesund und bekömmlich, Wellness-Zone sehr schön, ruhig, Frühstück toll

Lobby war kalt, erster Schnee ist gefallen - hätte man Cheminée anwerfen können, zu kleine Rezeption, man hat kaum Platz eine Tasche zu platzieren. Zimmer klein, Lavabo ist neben Bett, was nicht schön für ein Liebespaar ist. Ärgerliche Digitalisierung: bei der Buchung wird man 2x gefragt die Kreditkartendetails anzugeben, dann folgt auch noch ein Check-In (erneute Kreditkarte, was ich nicht vorgenommen habe), ärgerlich, dass Zimmer erst ab 15:00 bezugsbereit sein soll, wir mussten etliche Male schreiben, um doch noch in den Spa zu kommen. Rezeptionspersonal etwas verwirrt bei Spezialfragen. Grundsätzlich: weniger Digitalisierung und mehr menschliche Kompetenz wäre schön.

Der Welcome-Drink wurde uns "verwehrt" - das heisst, wir wollten nach dem Einchecken um 15.00 h zuerst für 1 Stunde nach Sankt Blasien und den Drink im Anschluss daran einnehmen (nicht möglich). Bei einem Gesamtbetrag von über 500.-- Euro für eine Uebernachtung (inkl. Abendessen) erachten wir dies als sehr kleinlich.

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht

Frühstück war super. Tolle Auswahl. Es fehlt an nichts. Aufenthaltsraum und Foyer ansprechend. Schwimmbad war großzügig und sauber.

Gleich beim eintreffen wurden wir gefragt, ob wir eine Zimmerreinigung wünschen. Habe dies verneint, jedoch dafür auch ein kleines Entgegenkommen oder Aufmerksamkeit erwartet, was leider nicht kam. Sonntags wurden Teppiche im Flurbereich geschäumt und mit einer Maschine gereinigt. Das Bad im Zimmer war schmal und eng, die Schiebetür zum Bad schließt nicht vollständig. Das Gourmetessen hat nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprochen, es war recht lieblos angerichtet. Der Nachtisch eine Kugel Sorbet wurde in einer Art Eierbecher serviert, sehr minimalistisch. Der Aussenbereich von der Sauna könnte abends besser beleuchtet sein, die Stufen sind uneben und feucht. In der Sauna fehlt es an Ablageflächen und Handtuchhaltern. Auch sind 2Handtücher für einen Tag im Spa meiner Meinung nach zuwenig, ein trockenes, frisches Tuch zum unterlegen der Liegen wäre wünschenswert.
