A great relaxing overnight stay in a fantastic lakeside setting.
As we had been to the hotel before (but not to stay), we knew how to access it. Parking was right outside the door and we could check in straight away. We relaxed in our room which had a great view overlooking the lake, took advantage of the wellness centre and had an amazing evening dinner. The morning breakfast offered both hot and cold options, and the staff were pleasant and helpful throughout.
The breakfast could maybe have included more hot options.

Memorable
The views , great spa area, steps to go for a swim in the lake , great outdoor seating and balcony. Staff great and helpful. Would recommend
The description on the booking site was totally different to the room we got …. Disappointing It sounded like an apartment in the outside building with kettle , washing machine and fire place . Unfortunately it had none of these . Would be nice to have a kettle and cups for a coffee . Didn’t like the extra charges for a bottle of water in the room . The hotel has a fridge in all rooms but it’s all chargeable even the water . I would stay again but in the main building with a lake view

We would definitely stay in this hotel again!
Room was spacious. View from terrace of the lake was superb! Restaurant meals were tasty and affordable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal with the Schluch See village nearby as well as many other scenic villages of the Hoch Schwartzwald. The nearby RotHaus Brewery was fascinating!
Access road to hotel was grungy looking but not much can be done about that. Hotel should mention proximity to highway and to train tracks but stress the fact the traffic on the road dies down at night… and the train doesn’t run at night. The brand new windows (which can be opened for fresh air)in the hotel shut out exterior noise! For the price of the hotel some fixtures should be replaced ie. bedroom light fixtures, bathroom trash can. They should be better than what could be purchased at a “dollar store”!
