The resort is within a nice setting. It’s wonderful to have the rice fields so close.
The breakfast. The was a variety of food but I didn’t like that there was no proper coffee for free.

Great as always. Amanda Hotel is always the right choice. Super comfy bed and spacious room, great balcony. Several pools. Food is also good. (Room service).
All was great. The only thing they could do better in my option is the vegan options at the breakfast buffet. Otherwise if you eat plant based only, you probably want to get breakfast somewhere else.

Ananda Ubud Resort is an elegant, comfortable taste of old Ubud. The staff are authentically themselves, concerned with making your stay the best it could be because they love to look after guests and show off their wonderful country. Perfect!

The location and staying in the rice fields. The pools and the walking paths were lovely. Also the restaurant provided great meals and service.
It wasnt that i didnt like it but a bigger room would have been better.

Absolutely have loved this property for years and hunted and hunted to try to find it again. The gardens and multiple pools are sublime. The old world charm, the Balinese reception and arrival space is beautiful. Eating breakfast in front of the pond with Buddha and lotuses in bloom very beautiful.
Years ago I stayed with a friend and the space for two people was gorgeous but the family space was really disappointing. The bathrooms were very old and dinghy, stained, plastic curtains, and it really left a bad impression. It’s very hard to find family rooms and we appreciated the set up but the tv’s didn’t work and not having a smart TV isn’t really good enough anymore. It felt very expensive for what we got. But family rooms really need smart TV for the children.

The gardens and surrounds are stunning and traditional Bali style. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff very friendly & helpful!
The room has a bit of a musty smell, but understandable with the rainy season. Perhaps they could be aired out when not in use.

Centrally located, excellent and friendly staff, beautiful surroundings overlooking jungle/rice paddies
Our eldest son was bitten by a snake walking to the pool. Thankfully, it was not venomous. The hotel should let guests know about the dangers of snakes or other animals.

The landscape was out of a magazine and was very picturesque.
Eveything was perfect

The resort is so spacious and quiet with stunning gardens. Our rooms were also spacious and had everything we needed.
There were some renovations happening which made a bit of noise near our pool but we just went to main pool instead.

Spacious , green & well kept you don’t want to explore outside the resort
Insect & lizards not a fan 😄

Loved the way the hotel has been kept traditional with outdoor/indoor bathrooms and comfortable Indonesian chairs, tables and other furniture. Beds are large and comfy. Aircon works extra well.
The staff are incredibly polite and so helpful.
The inclusive breakfast had enough choices, all well presented. As we were visiting in rainy season, the swimming pools were welcome after a humid sultry day around Ubud.
Difficult to think what could have been better? Yes, there are much more expensive 5 star hotels around Ubud offering pampered luxury but this isn't what we are after.

I was totally surprised, the property is well kept, clean, wonderful on the eyes, centrally located, wonderful breakfast, and the staff were all superb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Everything was amazing in this hotel, very quiet with all the comforts catered for. The views of the rice field, excellent service by staff, the beautiful restaurant overlooking the lotus pond, contemplative walks around the rice fields, leading to the yoga hut... I didn't want to even leave to venture out. It was so relaxing, thank you Ananda.
Nothing.

Beautiful rustic accommodation and grounds.
Huge room with a big balcony
Staff were really helpful.
Breakfast was excellent.
Location minutes away from the centre and so a little quieter. Off-site ( 2 minutes away) spas and transport easily arranged by staff. They also have a free shuttle three times a day in to the centre.
Great views into paddy fields and it's own forest . 3 swimming pools.
This was our first of three separate 3 night stays across Bali, and set the bar very high. I might be in trouble with my family if the next one is not as good!
Nothing to dislike. Being picky... The pool furniture was a little tired but it has a rustic look anyway... So don't be picky!
I can't rate the evening meals.
This is a really good place to stay in Ubud

Beautifully manicured gardens and the staff are lovely.

Ananda has beautiful extensive well cared for gardens spanning a river & many rooms have views of rice fields.
It has clean lovely pools.
It is peaceful and has local nature at back of property.
It is 10 min up the hill from Ubud town centre but the shuttle three times a day is helpful & saves on taxis.
The staff are all very pleasant & helpful.
Unfortunately the interiors of rooms are mostly dark & needing updating especially bathrooms.
Beds & pillows were uncomfortable.
Breakfast food was poor quality mostly soggy or over cooked & powder coffee ( extra charge to get a decent coffee).
Less choices but nicely cooked would have been better.
I was extremely disappointed that despite many emails attempting to get a room at back of property with verandah
I was unable to do so directly with resort or by changing room with booking.com online. The Booking.com description of the room has now been changed I note but that did not help me there is still no way to choose the type of room I really wanted online & have stayed in previously. After difficult discussions on arrival where I had been led to believe it had been sorted out I was given preferred room type of at extra cost despite the fact the rooms were mostly vacant right through resort. Really ? as returned guest also bringing a friend to the resort ....and many rooms like I wanted vacant ...they could not have just upgraded us to what I was originally trying to book and had spent time trying to clarify prior arrival.

The pool is quiet lovely, in between the trees and very peaceful. The receptionist is friendly
Absolute horrible resort, stay away. The other 1 star ratings here are all correct in what they are writing. Filthy dirty rooms, the sofas outside on the terrace smell so bad, it is impossible to sit there as you have a wave of dirt smell at all times, those cushions have never been in cleaned in a century. The rooms are depressing, old and dark. Balinese style should'nt mean shabby. The photos on booking com are absolute not how the rooms look like. The photos on booking com are fake ! They tried to downgrade me to a very horrible room, then they gave me the room with the least privacy even though I requested for privacy. At 6 am the security man walks around spitting on the floor and making all kind of disgusting noises. The rest of the staff is always in your face, no manners at all. As a woman if you swim alone in the pool, 4 people come and clean around... no privacy at all. Resort from hell, stay away. Rats in your open bathroom. I have had open bathroom in Maldivian resorts many many times but no rats in it.

Beautiful grounds and lush garden. Rooms well appointed.
The food at the restaurant was disappointing. Breakfast options were not great. They only had bland white bread no seeded or whole grain options. Bedding and pillows smelt like sweat and mould.

Room, outlook and gardens were excellent!!
The outside, concrete stairs with no railing! Very awkward!

The breakfasts were perfectly adequate.
The room was very comfortable as was the bed and pillows. The a/c was very effective. The pool beside our room was lovely and always quiet. The staff always courteous. They have courtesy transport into Ubud 3 x daily.
The lighting in the bedroom was very poor, a common thing in Balinese builds.
The food was somewhat mediocre. I didn’t appreciate being served something I hadn’t ordered as they had run out of what I had ordered. All they had to do was tell me. The service in the restaurant was very slow, but I guess it’s Bali.

The pool area was great , food was good , staff were amazing
Being a 2 storey villa , the floor between the upper and lower was very thin and very creaky , some nights were hard to sleep depending on what the people above were doing

Loved everything about this place. It was so much bigger than expected. The gardens and rice fields surrounding the hotel were beautiful. Breakfast was great and diverse with lots of fruit. Great base to explore Ubud and surroundings from.
The main pool is a bit dated and could use some more maintenance.

Wonderful resort and perfect in every way! Beautiful resort with gorgeous gardens.
Direct access to rice fields that you can have a relaxing walk through. Quiet and peaceful sanctuary to come back to after the huddle & bussle of central Ubud (which is only a 6 min drive away).
Delicious breakfast with great coffee I would recommend the banana milkshake!
Wonderful and kind staff on hand. Great restaurants nearby too just a walk away.
Nothing only we didn’t stay longer.
