Hotel is located in a nice scenic area.

We like the beautiful scenery around the hotel and the large room with separate bedroom and living area.

We travelled by bus to Lienz and found it very difficult to get a taxi to the hotel. This doesn’t reflect the Hotel but something for future visitors to be aware of.

Lovely hotel - very enjoyable stay

Lovely hotel with views from the room over Lienz and the valley. The hotel is on the edge of woodland with good walks, up the roads behind it, if a little steep. The restaurant provided a good dinner and breakfast. There is plenty of car parking available. Tea and coffee were available from a central point - a welcome change.

A great find of a hotel

A great hotel in a great location although if you are heading into town you may need to take the car. The staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant after a drink in the bar. The room we had was very spacious and comfortable.

Proximity to Lienz, room was a good size

Parking was a nightmare, no good for sports car. The ambience of the place was confusing, random bits of furniture, outside looked tired with run down garden and terrace. Not worthy of the price or rating on booking.com

Great location but u dergoing renovation/ construction

Incredible location and wonderful staff!

No air conditioning and the patio was under construction and we could not enjoy breakfast outdoors. I booked it because of the amazing images of dinning in the patio and yet, not outdoor access to the views!

This was a peaceful and pleasant stop on a long trip in many locations. We all agreed this might have been our favorite

The property is a gem! Historical but kept up extremely well! Kids lived all the animals and play area.

The only downside is also makes it special… it’s a bit away from the city center. But we were fine staying up on the hill

2nd time here and hotel has improved the outside facilities regarding restaurant etc. Wonderful views of the mountains.

I think they can improve the parking facilities as it's gravel with stone chips that might make dings on cars.

Very comfortable and very quiet, a beautiful outlook over Lienz and the mountains. The Gasthof had an authentic feel, the staff were very helpful and the meals were great. Would happily stay here again.

A jewel of a hotel in the crown of Austria.

It’s a lovely old building with modern facilities including a sauna. The staff were all lovely and the attention to detail second to none. The rooms were comfy and the food was delicious. Amazing views and a great location.

Very nice hotel close to lovely town in stunning scenery.

Good breakfast choice take in semi-outdoor area. We were provided with a designated table for breakfast which was fine. Great sized room - well furnished and comfortable and quiet. Slept well. Would easily go there again. Very close to cable car base.

Not an issue for us but a 20 minute walk into town in the evening (although they do serve food in the evening). Coming home is a quite steep walk up hill.

Very nice hotel with an amazing view

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The staff were very kind, our room was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was perfect. The view is absolutely amazing to Lienz and to the surrounding mountains. The garden is also beautiful with cute ponies to pet.

Lovely hotel in a stunning location.

A great hotel with a difference, set in an interesting location. Large clean room, which had a small balcony for sitting out on. Stunning views over Lienz and the surrounding countryside. The walk down into Lienz took about 20 minutes. The walk back up took a bit longer and is very steep. Fortunately, the hotel has a good restaurant and bar attached.

The room was quite expensive but on balance we were happy with it because of the unique location and good facilities.

The room was very clean. Staff was great!

During dinner we were never offered additional drinks, coffee, or dessert. After 20 minutes of no attention we got up and left. Staff was pleasant but seemed overwhelmed with the amount of dinner guest.

Cleanliness was impeccable

By mistake, I booked 1 person for 102 euro and they charged me additional 81 euro for my wife. This made the total rate 30 Euro more than Booking was charging for 2 people for that day. Breakfast was average. Someone walked into the room before checking out. Sauna was nothing special

Charming mountain guesthouse

It was a very charming guest house with beautiful views. It was clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially of special diet requirements. Cute little playground for the kids and a petting zoo - neither of which we used due to rain.

My bed was too soft; the main bedroom was very warm with no blind or curtain for the balcony door. We hung a blanket on it to block out light for sleeping. Price including dinner didn't really match the 3*. In our opinion, it was a little high for what it was, but it was fine for an overnight stop.
