Great hotel option in Lienz if you don't mind driving.

Great hotel in a solid location. Easy drive or taxi to downtown/train station. Room has more space than European hotels in cities generally do. Nice proprietor.

Too far from downtown for walking.

Disappointed with bad value for money

Good location, walkable to hiking trails (cable car) and city center. Small grocery store right next door. Standard double room was spacious enough, with a balcony and nice views and plenty of storage.

Much too expensive for what's offered. No elevator. Furnishings rather dated. Shower not particularly clean, there was dirt or maybe even mould in the grout. Mattresses were pretty hard, could feel the springs. Breakfast not bad but also nothing to brag about, standard with few choices of ham/cheese/jam, few types of rolls and bread, soft boiled eggs and a couple different sliced veggies/fruits. Nothing sweet like pastries. Audible street noise also during the night.

Very, very pleasant, family-friendly hotel in a beautiful valley, with a comfortable and clean room, kind and helpful staff, excellent location, from which many winter and summer activities are accessible (even on foot). Restaurant: the chef cooks very well, the service is fast, and there is a wide selection. Vegetarians are also welcome. The hotel is easily accessible by car and it has its own parking lot, which is right next to the hotel. If you want to shop, there is a grocery store around the corner (50m from hotel).

close to the city

other than a bedroom, there are zero facilities. check in is not possible until 3 pm and the hotel is locked until then. a person is there to check you in and give you a key, and then disappears. For the rest of the stay, there is no staff and certainly no sense of hospitality. Even the restaurant was closed (on a Saturday night!) but I was told, “there’s a pizza place around the corner if you’re hungry”

a drive through Liebz which was made unique and perfectly comfortable by our stay in the hotel!

a very pleasent atmosphere with perfectly kind staff. The owner Peter and her wife were really kind, helpfull and supportive. Perfect communication in many languages. The dinner and breakfast was superB👍If you like to drink a good Grappa, Peter is happy to help you to suggest the right one😊

A bit loud from outside when raining (rain drops on metal at balcony) and restaurant was closed all days (our fault to book exactly the two days when restaurant was closed).

Paradise in Paradise

Perfect location at the bottom of Schlossbergbahn, very quiet place still just few minutes walking to the city center. Ideal starting point for biking, hiking. Rafting center also very close. Rooms and the whole hotel very clean, modern, newly refurbrished. Delicious meals every evening. The best at the end - it is family run hotel and after few days you really feel like at home with your family.
