Clean and simple - wonderful location

Clean and simple. Wonderful central location

When I was there the lift was out of action. This was quite a big issue as I was perched on the fourth floor and had a very heavy suitcase. The staircase is quite narrow and corkscrews sharply, so it was quite a struggle getting my suit case up and down. I REALLY hope that this gets fixed soom. The only blot on an otherwise perfect stay.

If we Interrail through Aachen again, we'll certianly try to stay here

The location couldn't be more better. It's right at the heart of Aachen, by quite a big square, but somehow was always quiet. The station is an easy walk away, and from Drei Konige it is easy to get to the Cathedral and really anywhere in the old town.

I do not understand how the room can be so quiet, and yet the area is so lively. So while the location is good, I think it's the quiet that really made us rate the hotel. Also you can go look to see how many variations of The 3 Kings you can see all across Europe once you've spotted your first! Free game with every stay

It was clean, great location, nice room of a very nice size. Housekeeping available all days.

Front desk only staffed 8-11am, no lift, dark stairwell (perhaps motion sensor lights were broken) and no real building amenities.

Location and value for money cannot be beaten

It was a brilliant sized suite, the bathroom size was fine, it was all really clean in my room, the bed was comfortable with soft linens, the instructions were easy to follow to get in and the location absolutely cannot be beaten.

Parking is pretty expensive but this is not the hotels fault as it’s not their parking, but the closest option is expensive and it’s an uphill walk to the hotel with a case. A mini fridge would be appreciated.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the old town.

The location was ideal for a few days in the old town. We could easily walk around and visit restaurants and the cathedral. Although the hotel is only staffed in the mornings, the staff were very helpful and instructions were sent on day of arrival for how to access the key.

Good value hotel

Clean,basic hotel in a great location (edge of the main square). Helpful staff but limited front desk hours. We stayed in the two bed suite . Plenty of room and plenty of windows that open. Only one flight up. Parking is in the public garage about a block from the square (we packed carry-ons for a one night stay). Decor is slightly dated but it is a good choice for a short stay to see the ancient cathedral and historic center of Aachen. Building is old, no AC or public lounge or breakfast but a very nice room.

Loved everything! Am so glad this place exists. Everything was great - absolutely no problems and I would stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Value for money

Excellent location in the Altstadt. Roomy wardrobe. Kettle for teamaking available on request. Stand for luggage of both occupants to be off the floor. Keypad entry worked well. Good value accommodation

Orange colour scheme in our room. More like an airbnb than a hotel because staff were only on site a few hours each morning. No fridge in the room. Pillows too soft.

I could not have wished for a better experience.

The location could not be better. Extremely central, one minute away from the old city hall, right in the most picturesque part of Aachen, with lots of shops and nice eating places nearby. My room was a good size and I had a bath tub (big bonus in a single room). My room was quiet, I had my own key to the premises and could come and go as I liked. It felkt very private. If returning to Aachen, I would certainly want to stay here again.

Absolutely nothing. The only setback for some people would be the lack of a lift. My room was on the 1st floor, so I did not have too many stairs to contend with.

Exceptional

Very nice location, in the middle of the centre. The best conditorei is next around the corner. The location is next to the shopping centre. The rooms are spacious, beds are firm(perfect). The parking garage is 4 minute walk from the hotel. Nice staff.

Fabulous

Everything. It is right on the Christmas market (the reason we were there). Awesome helpful cheery staff. Right by the Rathaus (town hall square). So quiet...no outside noise. Restaurants (of all price ranges) everywhere. I never write reviews but had to on this hotel.

Excellent location for a visit to Aachen city centre

Where else to stay when the Christmas Market in Aachen is on? The location is excellent, and the price is reasonable. Many good breakfast options within 2 minutes walking distance. The room (33) itself was spacious, and I believe I had one of the smaller rooms. A metal framed double bed, a sturdy desk and a old fashioned wardrobe. Spartan, but more than enough for me. The bathroom was done in a modern style with white tiles. Everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note that the front desk is only manned during the day

Breakfast restaurant is temporarily closed, Access to rooms only by stairs, no elevator. The staff will however help with the luggage if needed.

A very large room with a good view of Aachen. Smack bang in the centre of Aachen, close to almost everything. Everything was clean. Powerful shower. Helpful staff.

Nothing except the lift was out of order but no problem for me.
