I am very disappointed. I have paid for double bed but I am given twin beds. I asked reception that I have paid for double bed which is higher the price than twin bed but I was told there is no double bed left and neither they tried to compensate the difference in price

Well positioned and quiet location. The included breakfast had a good range of food but difficult to see with the table layout which tables were clear to use. Would have been useful to have instructions for the air con as it was very hot.

The hotel is within the inner-city walking precinct and is challenging to reach by car. The gentleman who greeted us at reception was rather curt and untoward. I felt that I was an inconvenience rather than a guest. The room was smallish but clean with a view of the Cathedral and Rathaus. The city centre is very walkable from the hotel. The buffet breakfast offered a great selection of food both hot and cold. Would happily stay there again.

My main complaint is that the room was VERY hot and not equipped with any temperature control. Sleeping with the window opened was not possible because the area is lively (so noisy). On the other habd the hotel is located within walking distance from many restaurants, the cathedral... The room was otherwise nice, not the cleanest but I did not mind. The bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom is rather small, its cleanliness leaves something to be desired in places. The shower door had traces of mould, the drain was clogged and the towel rail was quite dusty. The breakfast is great though: loads of different breads, food, drinks (even vegetable milk), fruits, etc. Overall I had a decent stay, maybe it is just me but I would expect more from a 4-star hotel.

The hotel rooms do not have airco. It is sold as a 4 star so should have airco. Fortunately when we were there the temperature was only 23 outside. The hotel room was 27C though. That is not acceptable. The hotel is fantastic though - shame about the lack of airco.

Location is as good as it gets. Service was on point. Efficient check-in and out. Rooms refurbished from last time I stayed there. A good attempt and in the right direction, however it could have been done better. Soundproofing is nonexistent, you can hear people in the hallway and from other nearby rooms. I got a room with no heating, could have had it slightly warmer for own comfort but bearable. Rooms are well sized, bathrooms are small. Breakfast is great, but here as well the room is kind of chilled as the main door is just around the corner, adding a cold brise to your meal. It is a good place to stay if the price is right, for me it was good value for money this time, although some constrains.

I stayed in this hotel a couple of times over the last 30 years.. location is fantastic, i find the service provided by the staff faultless, they are professional and will do what they can to assist. Breakfast is really good with loads of options. Rooms are good sized but no air con, so in hot weather you have to leave the window open... In summary, whilst this is not a negative review, it does feel like it needs updating in line with some of the other hotel chains in the locale

Excellent location, steps from the Rathaus square and the cathedral, and a batch of good restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, only slightly diminished by so-so coffee. My room was up under the eaves of the building, with a lot of character, but also had a good little fridge and plenty of storage. A couple of little oddities with lights that didn't work and cold water which would go warm, but nothing serious.

This hotel is not a 4 star Hotel…The location of the hotel is central but there is too much noise. There is no cooling system in the room. There is no air conditioning. you have to open the window and it is not possible to sleep because of the noise. All night, lots of cafes, drunk people, and unfortunately a big construction across the hotel. Then early in the morning construction starts with a heavy noise. I asked the reception for the fan after sleepless 2 nights, which they should have to brought without asking in the summer heat. internet connection was messed up. It is impossible to get in contact with that connection. Pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and it made us also not sleep well. Housekeeping service was enough and friendly. They don’t have enough parking place. Some employess at the reception was really disrespectful and rude. While talking, he speaks as if scolding without listening to the customer. The best thing is breakfast. It was fine and delicious. But I would never stay here again.

This hotel was extremely disappointing and served up 2 of the worst nights sleep I have ever had. The room lacked any ventilation besides opening the window - however the noise of rowdy drunks all night and the construction site across the road starting early each day was unbearably loud. The mattresses were also incredibly unyielding and hard which also contributed to the poor sleep. This hotel was a stain on what was otherwise a lovely stay in Aachen.

They ‘fixed’ it and I was getting less than 1 mBit down. The manager said it was fixed and that’s all they could do. Breakfast was absolutely nothing special. I would never stay here again.
