Loved it

Breakfast was good - lovely peppery black pudding, tasty sausage, good eggs. Dinner was superb with good wines. Location was great for proximity to the dunes and beach, a good walk to town.

Bar drinks were more expensive than expected.

Where you need to be when in Troon

Stayed for a wedding at the Piersland House and were really impressed by the beautiful setting and smooth organisation of the day. Our room was comfortable, the staff were attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the celebration even more enjoyable.

Understand that the hotel was fully booked. However: - The front desk could have been a bit friendlier and flexible during our stay. - It would also be helpful if the hotel offered a proper, designated place to store suitcases.

Breakfast and evening meal were both excellent quality food and great value for money, Perfect place to relax for the evening on our way to catch the ferry to Arran, we will be adding an overnight stay here on our future trips.

Stayed in one of the cottage’s and it was nice and quiet the only thing I would ask for is a fridge to be put into one of the rooms but other than that it had everything you needed.

Great food, good location for golf.

The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The choice of drinks at the bar was extensive. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. We were guests at a wedding held there and the staff assisting with the wedding were fantastic.

The bed in the Mews cottage was uncomfortable and we didn’t sleep particularly well either night. Disappointed that there wasn’t a mini fridge in the living room area of the cottage. Unfortunately we had a couple of incidents was a particular staff member being a little rude, and short with us.

Well located for overnight stay before ferry to Arran. We took a Mews Cottage room which was a spacious option with separate living area. Disappointed that there was not a mini fridge in our room (my misreading of the information) but staff were helpful, keeping my refrigerated medicine cool overnight. We did not eat in the restaurant for dinner, but on our return for evening drinks there was a good selection of whisky with knowledgeable bar staff. Whiskies were appropriately priced! The breakfast was very nicely prepared with good variety.

Maybe reception could have been more warmly welcoming e.g on a rainy day not forthcoming to offer help with luggage and to show us to the room - we had parked at the front and ended up driving round to the back near our Mews room, when we could have just walked around the hotel with help but this is a VERY minor quibble. Annoying that there is no internal route from the Mews rooms to the bar!

Lovely property in good location staff were attentive. Evening meal was delicious.

After lovely evening meal felt a little disappointed with breakfast, fairly basic menu. Room was very cold throughout the evening, was offered an electric heater, however due to health issues this was of no use. Scottish summer weather can be very changeable and feel the option to turn on radiator/towel rail should be considered.

Superb hotel.

Lovely family room, which was clean, well stocked with all the complementary extras, and very a comfortable stay overnight. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning and a good choice of pastries and cereals.

That we couldn't stay longer as it was an overnight stop on our way over to Edinburgh direction.

Hard to get a pre dinner drink due to wedding taking up the facilities. Given the worst table in the restaurant (did get moved) but no acknowledgment of the special occasion as mentioned when booking

I thought the hotel & gardens beautiful but not everyone likes a cooked breakfast so my breakfast was piece of toast with marmalade and yogurt. The fruit selection very poor, no grapefruit, berries just a big bowl of mostly chopped apple in juice

See previous question also our party found it unbelievable that if you didn't want herb bread with lasagne but some chips you had to pay extra

The grounds & building & my room was lovely the evening meal was lovely .but breakfast very disappointing had to ask them to if they were going to replenish at 850am it was still not replenished as I left & cooked Scottish was tasteless I got home to find out that my Niece had emailed & phoned to let them know it was a special Birthday & asked them to wish me a Happy Birthday no no avail

Fabulous and full of character.

Gorgeous hotel, very unique feel and full of character. The family rooms are great as the children are on a sofa bed in an adjoining living room. Staff were all lovely.
