All the food was fabulous, breakfast was amazing. Staff were very friendly, efficient and curteous and nothing was too much trouble.

We had chosen the hotel based on previous visits as and as I was celebrating my birthday we decided to choose the best room available. We extremely disappointed to find the spa complex was closed for renovations as we’d chosen this hotel specifically to go swimming. Also found the hotel restaurant wasn’t open on Monday evening due to low demand. Food was served in the bar but the restaurant had a better menu and ambience. Whilst we understood the reason it was closed, like the swimming pool it would have been really helpful to know at the time of booking. In the end we decided to eat out at another restaurant but would have preferred not to have to.

Great weather, which is always a bonus, my golf game a bit mixed but Europe won the Ryder Cup :)

Location, facilities and pleasant staff, especially barperson Matthew who was very attentive.

Only downside was the shower over bath, the bath was really to small if you wanted a bath and the shower arrangement resulted in a lot a water ending up on the bathroom floor. Same feedback for all 4 guests in my party. We booked deluxe single rooms but next time I would book a larger room or request a room with walk-in shower instead of bath. Otherwise rooms were very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect.

Fantastic location, stunning views over to Arran, loved the lounge/bar, roooms with great view and all the expected amenties. Staff generally friendly, check in lady was wonderful, bar staff warm and friendly

Too many cushions on the bed! Very windy when we were there (not unusual) but opening the window created a horrible whistling noise that was overbearing - just needs some thought as to how to prevent this as room was quite stuffy if you didnt open the window

Room was quite dark as the 2 windows were tall and thin. At window ledge level outside were large, bird stained supply air ducts. We found the Bed too soft for our liking, resulting in back pain. Room lighting was insufficient due to lack of natural light.

My room was a bit chilly when I arrived at 10pm and went cool later each evening. Appears heating only comes on a couple of hours a day during summer months. I mentioned to a staff member and they provided a heater for me to pop on, which was great and really helpful. Thankyou!!

Location & staff were extremely friendly & accommodating. Room was good although furniture a little dated. Good pool & Spa facilities.

The breakfast selection was good & hot items served at table but were overcooked as if they had been precooked & left in the oven. Dinner was better with freshly cooked meals. Service at bar & restaurant was good. £35 per night for pets is a little steep considering we stayed two nights when compared to Holiday Inn which charges £15 per night for exactly same facilities for pets.

A nice location, but food needs to improve to justify the very high prices and small rooms

The location was great, as were the staff.

The room was very small and stuffy for a five star hotel. The shower was over the bath so again, I’d expect a walk in shower in a five star hotel. Breakfast wasn’t great. The scrambled eggs were abysmal, almost white and the consistency of cottage cheese. The avocado toast was unseasoned and flavourless and the bread was cheap. The coffee wasn’t great either.
