Satisfactory. Met our needs at short notice.

Lovely location. Easy check in. Good car parking. Short drive to restaurants.

Basic accommodation. Bed very uncomfortable. Could feel all the springs. No plug in the bathroom sink. Toilet could have been a bit cleaner. Could clearly hear noise from neighbouring lodge.

Good location

The lodge is a really good location to go into heddesdon which is what we wanted it for. We also felt safe there. The lady in charge also had the lodge ready early for us and texted all our details in good time.

We thought it would be quiet as you’re in the middle of nowhere but you can hear toilet flushes from other lodges which kept us up. I felt fine using the shower but my mum didn’t want to as it was quite run down. I’d say it just needs a bit of fixing up and that would make it more worth the price per night.

The accommodation worked well for our purpose for staying in the area.

The accommodation was worked well for the two-night stay for a family event in the area. There are plenty of woodland walks in the surrounding area.

There are just about adequate facilities to make breakfast/light meal, but with only one bar stool at the breakfast counter, and a chair by a desk, it was a little awkward for the two of us. Another bar stool would have been very useful.

A nice, simple night away.

I used to live in the area, so knew it was a lovely location. The accommodation itself was cosy and quiet. The check in process was really easy.

I've already let the host know that the bathroom sink seemed to be blocked, which they have apologised for.

The room was nice and comfortable.

You could hear the other rooms really badly, so it was difficult to sleep. For that reason I would not stay again.

such a shame it was in such a nice location but it was absolutely filthy inside and the man next to us was on the phone

I didn’t like how dirty it was inside , the microwave was absolutely filthy , there was rotten fruit on the floor , stains on the bed sheets I’m sure it had not been cleaned , I slept in my clothes.

Perfect for an overnight stay

Great for an overnight stay, the room met all our needs and the bed was comfortable. Lovely peaceful surroundings. Great communication from the host who sent a text a few days before our stay to ask if we wanted a double bed or two singles. Also received a text to let us know when the lodge was ready. Would recommend and will definitely book to stay there again.

Awful and dirty, look elsewhere, don’t book this one

Nothing it’s the worst b&b I have ever stayed in

smelt stale as soon as you opened the door. dirty bed linen, towels, very tired and dirty. bathroom not cleaned, skid marks in the toilet and rubbish from previous occupier not emptied from bathroom bin, noisy fridge all night, stained carpet, dirty table and chairs outside, asked for pillows to be changed as they were dirty on arrival and pillow cases just left on bed, owner too lazy to change them. would not recommend. calls itself a b&b but continental breakfast not provided unless you book in advance, glad we didn’t as I wouldn’t want to eat there! luckily I took my own towels and we slept on those as the bed linen was stained and had hairs in bed, I wanted to walk out but was there for my daughter’s wedding and everything else nearby was booked, good to be home now somewhere clean and fresh.

The Lodge was just ok, needs tidying up and tlc.

it was a perfect space for an overnight stay.

everything was a little tired. the room could have been cleaned better and the selection of crockery needs to be put through a dishwasher….didn’t feel happy using the plates. the bathroom had a water leak near the toilet and also a regular on its own flush and being very picky the door was half painted. the picture is not a true representation of the facilities.

Awful. Lovely area but the 'lodges' are tired and old!

Mould staining's on bed, old torn mattress. Walls paper thin, could hear everything from next door, from walking on floor to snoring. Silicone sealer was being applied to the shower when I arrived. The smell was overpowering. Awful. Finger prints all over the shower - was told it would be cleaned, it wasn't. Shower head didn't fit in holder. Pillows on bed were random and very old. I booked for 5 days, stayed for two, no offers of apology, reduced costs or anything

Expensive night for not a great stay

Room was very clean and there are extras like a microwave and fridge if that is applicable to you. Location was good for us.

Shower operated at a dribble. Mattress needs changing as it is sunk in the middle. During the night there is some sort of water tank that fills up but is so loud it kept waking me up

Not impressed. Room had not been cleaned properly. NOT good value for money.

The room smelled of cigarette, there was left over food in the fridge and cat hair on the bed. I contacted reception but nothing was done about it. Even the next day, nobody came to sort it out.

Pleasant

Once brought to the attention of owner problems were dealt with promptly. Was given a glass of wine and discount off our booking. Rooms had flat screen TV, Microwave and tea and coffee supplies plus iron and hairdryer. You would need transport to stay here access via country lane which is 3 miles long.

Room had not been deep cleaned cobwebs under the counter on top of fridge. Electric Kettle was dirty inside and bathroom sink was blocked, pull switch for shower was tied up as fitting was loose.
