Everything was amazing. The rooms are lovely, the food is excellent. Me and my partner had the calamari and mushroom soup with ribye steak - I am not normally a fan of sourdough bread but - Mmm and the steak! Words can not express. All the staff are remarkable, everyone genuinely seems happy to you. From the receptionists, waiters, waitresses, hotel manager, bar staff, absolutely every single person. The hotel decor is devine! So beautiful. Loved it. We have already planned to come back for my partners birthday in June. Looking forward to it already

Stunning hotel. The rooms are beautiful, beds super comfortable with high quality linen so I get a great night's sleep have and already rebooked. Food in the restaurant is pricey and as a vegetarian I'm hoping the options change for my next work related stay, as it's nice but would like more variety. As a new hotel there are a few teething problems like slow service but the staff are all lovely.
The only thing I think the hotel should review is breakfast. I've tried it once and now eat off site . For £15, the continental options are probably the poorest I've ever seen. I don't advocate food waste so it's a balance but hardly any cereal or fruit choice for example and service is too slow for breakfast when you are wanting to get to work. Until this is right it needs to be included in the price.

The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The lady on reception. Emma was very, very helpful. I’ll definitely be staying again 10 out of 10.

Brownsover Hall is a beautiful hotel. It's been very nicely done up, and my room was very comfortable. In particular, the bed, duvet and pillows were amazing! The bathroom was beautifully done and the shower was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and although I didn't have an evening meal there, the restaurant and bar looked lovely.
There were a couple of small, but very fixable niggles. Firstly, there is an excellent large TV in the rooms with all the usual channels, Netflix, etc. I have no problem with signing into my Netflix account in hotels, but with this you couldn't watch BBC, Channel 4 or ITV without signing in. I just wanted to channel hop quickly and couldn't! I don't know what an international traveller would have done. It wouldn't take much for the hotel to sign into the free-to-air channels. Sounds small but it was very annoying!
The other thing was that the breakfast wasn't great. I don't have cooked breakfasts so can't comment on that - I like healthy breakfasts of muesli, fruit, brown toast, hopefully sourdough. It clearly stated that breakfast lasted until 10am but when I cam down at 9.10am it was being cleared away. The very nice young man on duty was very helpful and apologetic and he really did his best. There was a tray of fruit which was fine and of pastries but nothing else. I asked for muesli but the only cereals available were Coco Pops and Special K i.e. very processed. They brought out white toast made from poor quality white bread, and although they did bring me brown when I asked, there was no Marmite or indeed any jams available. I sound incredibly fussy!! But what I got was a standard breakfast for a Premier Inn type place. However Brownsover Hall markets itself as a cut above that, and really my only point here is that the breakfast on offer doesn't match the otherwise very lovely, modern and good-value luxury vibe.
Neither of these are reasons not to come!

I enjoyed the experience at the hotel , a bit of a wow moment truly and the food was lovely in scotts restaurant ,something for everyone .Attentive friendly staff .The room was beautiful a mix of old and new with a classy edge ... beauriful bathroom with a fabulous shower. Bed was just the best ... I highly recommend this hotel . Being such a new hotel , you might find the odd thing missing, for me it was( a bottle of water to go with glasses provided and a shoe horn but hey nothing else ) but I give it 98% out of a hundred.
Nothing at all ...it met all my needs .

Plenty of parking and the room was warm. Architecture of the building was nice.
That our room was in the Stables and not the main building.
Attitude on arrival when the sofa bed was not made up for our 6 year old. Upon requesting this, we were informed where the spare bedding was located in the wardrobe. Staff did explain during our meal that they had made the bed up after all, which was nice of them and fully appreciated.

Room was clean and well presented, lots of space with good facilities. The bed was comfortable and arranged nicely.
Although the room was well presented it was let down by the woodwork on the desk and table being scarred by what I imagine was water damage. Other areas of wood work were tired and in need of attention e.g. the bath tub side panel. There was only one arm chair, and the table was very small. The rooms was vert spacious, but could have been utilized better.

Stunning place to stay. Our only criticism is that the bar staff are a little hard to find but the rest of the staff are wonderful. Stayed here a few times now

Loved the period features and the grounds
The evening meal we had was not good value for money, my partner had the burger was just like a chips shop burger and chips. Nothing special, and could have made it better myself. I had the fish and chips, again wasn’t very well cooked but not as bad as the burger. Unfortunately this let it down, but the rest of the stay was lovely. The morning Buffett breakfast was much better quality than the evening meal.
Would defo stay again but not eat our evening meal at the location. Thanks for a lovely room and lovely staff also.

Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
Can't really say anymore as I arrived late and left straight after breakfast, so did not see anything else!

What a fab property, a real old gem. My room was no.42 converted from the original stable block.I loved it. If you want level floors & smooth walls it's not the property for you. If you want an 1880's manor house it's great. Everything you need is in the room & was extremely clean for an older property, couldn't even find a cobweb in the rafters 20ft up!
Water in the bath/shower needs to be hotter

The breakfast was nice and the room was acceptable for a one-night stay. The location was good for where we needed to be
Quite a dated property, the sheets in the room didn't fully cover the sides of the mattress and also had a hole in them. The room could do with a thorough dusting a freshen up, even just with some paint!

The history of the property, the grounds and surrounding nature park were all a treasure to learn and explore.
The staff said that we could put items in their refrigerator but I would’ve enjoyed having a mini fridge in our room.

The property has great potential. However, there is a huge amount of work to be done to get it up to an appropriate standard. Beds and bathrooms were, happily, very clean.
Being old is good. Being run down is not

The bathroom was in need of updating. The tiles on the floor are cracked and water from the shower is able to seep below; the bath needs a small screen fitted to prevent water splashing out around the curtain. The tiles need to be replaced. The dining room tables are old and the tabletops are not easily cleaned adequately. They would benefit from replacement or, at least, covers. Be careful where your car is parked, as the birds are quite prolific!
