Warm rooms, tea makimg facilities,, they offered extra milk when needed

Unwelcome poor instruction on how to get to room. Room was freezing. Electric unsafe plug hanging off wall bedding dirty holes in towels only one hand towel and one bath towel in a room with three people booked! Massive television on wall which had no signal or aerial. Although restaurant was in same building it said it wasn’t attached but they allowed us in then said we had 10 minutes to order as kitchen was closing. Advert on door of offer but not on menu on asking told not available ordered while eating told us they were closing in 15 mins very unwelcome just wanted our money . Luckily only booked one night as definitely would not recommend

The young lad on reception was very helpful and polite

The room was filthy, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and not attached to the head board, so there was a huge gap, had to get up every 5 mins to push the bed back. The room had an awful smell, which was attempted to be covered by plug in air fresheners, the bathroom smelt like sewage. The whole hotel stank of cigarette smoke, despite no smoking signs everywhere. The radiator was also turned on full, the room was boiling hot and there was no option to turn it down or off. Ended up leaving around midnight because we physically could sleep and felt physically sick.

The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Free parking. Location is easy to get too. Beds are comfy and bedding smells nice. Second time staying now and have a lovely bathroom. There is a place to eat as well which has lovely food the staff there are very accommodating also. Everything seems to be freshly made even the bread which was amazing. Worth the stay.

There isn't any wifi. Staff can be a lil noisy in the morning while cleaning other rooms, but besides that it's very nice, and good value for the price. Will definitely stay again.

Car park was good. The heating in the room worked Proximity to Rugby was good. The Italian restaurant next door was really nice.

I don't like to be negative about a property but hopefully my comments will inspire the management. I was staying Monday to Friday. Room 8 was not good. The most uncomfy bed i have ever slept in. I asked for a bulb for the bathroom but was told an electrician would be required - their was no bulb - i just wanted to put one in above the mirror ; not re wire the place !!! The TV controller worked on only certain buttons. I did get an extra towel when requested. On Thursday at around 8pm i was called by the hotel and asked if i wanted new towels , toilet rolls etc - as i was checking out the next day it was a little late. The description on "Booking.com" said the property had free Wi-Fi , Sky Sports in the bar and served fresh seasonal food - these are all incorrect and need revising. Henry the hoover and his twin lived outside in the hallway all week and looked as though they wanted to work but nobody knew how to use them.

We liked the room and the location. It's very good with walkable distance to the centre, and the room is spacious enough with TV. It's worth the money. The heaters are not working and it's the worse thing in these winters, on top of that, there are no plates or cutlery provided in the room. Please make a note of these and provide the basic things needed.

My room was very dirty the shower wasn’t working very disappointing the other room i booked for my mate that was filthy as well the tv didn’t work the wardrobe was falling to pieces the heating was not working he slept with his clothes on because he was that cold asked at the reception several times nothing was done we both work all over the country the worst place we have stayed

Very polite staff and very clean environment.

As a first time visitor to The Grosvenor I have just checked in and my check in experience has been second to none. The lovely lady on reception was very welcoming. Miss Joké informed me that I need to type in my vehicle registration plate into the login and she warmly welcomed me, as did Mohit and Kira. I came here to bed down for the night and chose a very good value for money location to sleep well. The room is clean, comfortable and warm. There is adequate provisions, a good television set and clean linen. I can not fault the accomodation or the staff and I will definitely be returning me time I need to return to Rugby. I rate all the staff at Grosvenor to be 10/10. Many thanks xx Geoffrey xx

Shocking for somewhere with so much potential

The kebab house up the road

The ceiling was all cracked, there was dead flies squatted on the wall. Was only one cup for a couple in a room, the kettle looked like it had been grabbed from a tip and there was no hand wash. The electric heater was missing a leg so had to be propped up against the non working radiator, there was 3 pillows and a cushion so was very miss matched. The mattress was that soft you nearly fell off the bed, didn't feel like the room had actually been cleaned. Couldn't wait to leave amd its a shame as looks like used to be a lovely place at one time, hope one day someone saves it.

The bathroom ceiling was covered with black mould, the extract didn't work, the bathroom light cover was missing creating an electrical hazard near the shower, the windows were rotten with a plastic sheet taped over to replace a broken pane, only one sash was openable and needed to be wedged with some card to keep it open, perished plaster to walls and ceiling with damp and mould around a socket in the bedroom, worn out carpet, only three pillows, only one cup, no towels (had to ask for these), wrong sized mattress and bottom sheet.

Knew it wouldn't be great but shocked how bad

Location is central and car park on site useful.

No TV until complained. One towel for 2 (told they were in dryer). No hairdryer (after we paid to upgrade to Double Superior Room). No soap. No teaspoons or saucers. No window pane to right of bay - just plastic flapping in night. Bathroomn nothing like Booking.com photo below. Instead had cold rusty radiator, mould on ceiling and no ceiling light shade.

Cheap stay for weekend but needs updating to have facilities for each room

The location was ideal for our stay

We arrived at the hotel checked in, our room was ok but the bathroom light did not work, I spoke to reception and they knew it didn’t work, was helpful and moved to another room. But the other room was a lot more basic with no facilities, we had 1 pillow and 1 towel, The bed was very uncomfortable. We did not have a kettle, but had tea/coffee making facilities? tv or hairdryer. Very loud from corridor. Other guests having a party till 3am. Can hear people in above floor walking ect. We got woke up at 9:30am from hotel staff wanting to check the door and asking if we had a party?
