Friendly and welcoming, very comfortable room with a bath (which was super after a long day walking), delicious breakfast, and the bar looked very cosy, though we didn't have the chance to have a drink there.

The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good.The location was perfect for what we wanted, a stop off en route to Aberdeen. We enjoyed the short walk before dinner, and the fish and chips freshly cooked .
The appearance on arrival was disappointing, a front door badly in need of painting and windows marked with bird dirt. The welcome was ok but not very warm with payment requested upfront before we’d seen the room. The bar was well stocked but dirty in parts. The bedroom and the breakfast made up for this however.
