Beautiful time in Rio de Janeiro, would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was conveniently located on the main avenue facing the ocean in Ipanema, just steps away from the beach and only a few short blocks away from restaurants and padarias in the neighborhood. The staff were super helpful and flexible with accommodating our arrival and departure times. We found the breakfast to be delicious and well stocked, and rooftop pool was a nice break st the end of the day. Highly recommend Padaria Ipanema and Boteco Belmonte, both suggested by members of the hotel staff.

Can’t think of anything per se. Would maybe suggest a little more robust offering of suggested tours through Rio.

The elevator is the slowest one I’ve ever seen. It takes a very long time to arrive, and you wait approximatedly 5 minutes everytime you call it. Also, it's the same elevator used by the staff, so, sometimes it arrives full with service carts, so you cannot enter. The shampoo provided is also not very good and doesn’t clean the hair properly. In addition, the cleaning staff talk very loudly right outside the rooms in the morning, waking guests up and making it hard to fall back asleep. Their phones also keep ringing and receiving messages with loud notification sounds, which is quite annoying. The price feels a bit high for what is offered, but I believe it’s in line with standard rates in Rio.

So grateful for our last stay in Rio de Janeiro - a beautiful ending to an unforgettable trip

We had a lovely one-night stay. After our flight was cancelled, the staff welcomed us warmly. Thank you Nicolas Cesar, assisted by Tiago Barbosa. Nicolas even upgraded us to a beach-view room. Great butler service too! The airport transfer was smooth. Truly appreciated.

Location was great! Walking distance to restaurants, shops and market. Staff were extremely helpful with anything we needed. Beach was steps away and breakfast was excellent. Perfect way to start each day! No complaints!

I had an iPhone charger stolen from my room. It was a model 15 charger. When I reported it to Pablo, he told me that the only thing he could do was send someone to help me look around the room and I had to report it to the police station. It was embarrassing and disappointing. He also said that because it was Saturday night, he couldn’t look at the cameras and that it didn’t make sense that someone stole my charger… But it does make sense since there are so many boys stealing phones on the streets. And since they steal the phones, they need chargers, which leads me to believe they stole mine. Although, when I told another worker at the front desk, he said he would bring it up to the manager.

Breakfast was very poor - no variation in the food, limited cooked food option, worst scrambled egg I have ever tasted. Also one day, repeated smells of of burnt toast! Breakfast needs to be improved +++

Amazing location, walking distance to stores and restaurants. Right across from the beach. The staff was very friendly and the view was incredible. We loved the breakfast and the restaurant.

Unbeatable location

Excellent beachfront location, comfortable bed, a very good shower, attentive staff

Room was functional but small, with windows that are not soundproof, and neither are the dividing walls. You can hear everything in the adjacent rooms. Facilities are on a 3 star level, and definitely not a 5 star property.

Great location

Excellent location - half way along Ipanema beach. Our sea view room was exactly what we expected - excellent view along the whole of Ipanema, Leblon and Arpoador beaches and out to the |Ilhas Cagarras. Very comfortable beds. Rooftop pool/bar views are unrivalled. Complimentary parasol/sunchair/towels

Hotel looked like it was in need of a refurb - rooms looked tired - lift lobby on our floor (6th) smelled damp at times (due to lack of ventilation?) despite air fresheners. Fitness centre??? More like a small room with minimal equipment. Breakfast was adequate at best - limited selection of food and not the best quality

This is a lovely Hotel with friendly staff but the superior room was very small.

The location was excellent being right opposite the Ipanema Beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast was good and the rooftop bar and pool with deck chairs was lovely. The Gym was good to have.

The check in was difficult we were asked to fill in forms that we had already filled in online a few times before. When we got to our room the Porter left us and I noticed that even though I had made a request some weeks back and got confirmation for 2 extra pillows they were not there so i had to call him back and he brought the pillow then we couldn't operate the safe so we had to call the Porter back again to show us how. The aircon was too high and again we had to call the porter to show us how to adjust it. Surely all the above could have been done on initial check in and not dump us with our luggage and then walk off. To get to the lovely Beach we had to cross vey busy highway which was tricky. The room looked much smaller than in the pictures on booking .com

Best place to stay in Rio

This hotel is perfect. Great location for Rio. Been there many time but this place is the best. Great breakfast. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas are free to use. Roof top pool is amazing. Stay herefor a great Rio experience

Our view was spectacular. The employees made me feel welcome in a way that I rarely experience. They looked after our well-being when we were in the hotel as we as when we took excursions into the city. it did not matter weather it was a hotel sanctioned or just us venturing as a couple.

The staff! Very trevlig and helpful. They try to solve all problems and wishes to please the guests. The view from the pool area is spectacular! Very good location.

Some rooms from the back side can be a little dark with a sad and uncomfortable view. The pool area is very little! Maximum 8 people can enjoy att the same time for not be so crowded. Too little space for more "guarda sol". The pool itself is too little.
