Very good location and friendly staff
The facilities are nit a 4 star hotel. I stayed at a 3 star hotel just before this one In Rio so there was no way I could not compare. Striking differences .. breakfast and room facilities.

Very nice location, clean and fresh rooms
- Rude people at the reception that cannot speak English
- Elevators are a bit slow and not sufficient for the building
- they could put some coffee machines in the rooms

The location was an absolute 10/10 — truly unbeatable. Posto 10 in Ipanema beach was just a 5–7 minute walk away. The staff were outstanding, warm, and genuinely friendly. Special thanks to Fernando and Lucio (I hope I’m spelling their names correctly), who went above and beyond to accommodate us in every possible way.
The sheets are in desperate need of replacement. What were once white now have a greyish tone, especially the duvets, which makes them feel old and, therefore, dirty. The mattresses were also not very comfortable for me, though I recognize that mattress preference is quite personal.
In some parts of the hotel, when you turn on the AC, a damp “wet dog” smell eventually appears — likely due to poor ventilation, though I’m no expert.
The breakfast was another disappointment. I’m not referring to the variety of choices, since I understand that local breakfast options are part of the adventure of traveling and experiencing new cultures. What bothered me was the quality: stale bread and pancakes, watery eggs, and a fruit salad made with fruit that was clearly on the verge of spoiling. These issues, in my opinion, could easily be resolved with simple fixes — fresher bread, more toasters and presses, and a bit more attention to freshness overall.
