The room was clean, the beds were soft and the staff were lovely. The location was great, breakfast was lovely, a wide choice.
Ok, so the place is a Labarynth! Two lifts to our room , the corridors are so winding and confusing that l had to ask another guest to help us find our way out. As mentioned in another review we also had "magic taps" meaning that whichever way you turned the tap, to hot or cold, boiling hot water came out. (A lovely member of staff told me to turn the bath tap on so that we could get some cold water into the sink, it worked, but then how did the loo flush with cold water? Bizzare. I guess it's easier to apologise to the guests in the affected rooms than to get the head honchos to sort out the plumbing? Also the window in our room was so high you could not see out of it. No air con but a fan was provided and although we had a fridge in the room it didn't work. All in all it certainly was far from the worst place we have stayed, and, if you just want somewhere to sleep and have breakfast in a central location at a budget price, it ticked all the boxes but seriously get the plumbing sorted, it's a hazard for children and the elderly.

Price at time of purchase was reasonable, location is good being central to the town.
The pub directly opposite the hotel, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night - loud music all night, it could be heard even with the windows closed sadly … breakfast is too expensive (£16.95 I believe) and parking isn’t cheap at £8.50 (I parked free just down the road outside the town). Stayed 3 nights and not once did hotel cleaners go in our room, so the small bin overflowed.
