A most enjoyable stay in a comfortable, clean hotel.

The scrambled egg the first morning was watery, the second day it was perfect! Everything else was good. Service attentive.

Lovely hotel and great location

The location and view were superb, clean comfortable rooms and the food was excellent

The dinner choice in the restaurant wasn't brilliant. One of our waiters was really lovely, but the other was quite rude and made us feel uncomfortable when we asked if we could pay the bill separately rather than charging it to one room, and he made it clear it was an inconvenience, when there was only one other couple in the restaurant so he wasn't exactly rushed off his feet! The receptionist was also quite abrupt and rude. But if it wasn't for these two people I would have given a score of ten, but I only reduced the score to a 9 as it didn't ruin our stay.

The curtains that were at the two French windows over balconies, we were in room 301. They were very marked on linings and one pair had ripped linings, not a great impression.

The communal areas were very cold. We arrived at 3.00pm and the only food we could order was Afternoon Tea. We just wanted a simple sandwich - but the response was no! Very disappointing for a 4 Star hotel.

Location was fantastic, overlooking the bay in front of the hotel. It is well worth paying the extra for the sea view and balcony. Breakfast selection was really good and a great start to the day.

The hotel is lovely but our room was very small.

View from room and breakfast amazing.

Our room was very small and to walk between the end of the bed and the Juliet balcony doors was so narrow we had to slide rather than walk as the gap was less than the width of two legs. The ceilings were slanted to follow the roof shape and the wardrobe was shaped to fit the slant. The mirrors in the bedroom and en-suite were also slanted at an angle.

The receptionist on arrival (not the one who was there at all other days and times who was delightful) was disinterested and decidedly unwelcoming! Also parking priority should be given to those staying overnight.

Great location

No obvious person in charge, and it felt a little tired. Furniture in the bedroom was g-plan out of the 80’s and it felt like money was tight. Overall, couldn’t help feeling the owner just wants to knock it down and build a block of apartments.

A very nice stay in a beautiful location; just needs an update

What a beautiful location! Reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms were spotlessly clean; but quite dated with lots of marks on the walls etc. Bed was comfortable. Bar had a great selection of drinks. Plenty of free parking.

We stayed in room 212 which was quite noisy with the stairwell next to us. Breakfast had a lovely selection the next morning, but came out stone cold the first time (two plates came out, were sent back, brought back) and then took a long time for the rest to come out. The table next to us actually left without ordering breakfast. All rooms have baths as opposed to walk in showers so please bear in mind if you have mobility issues.

Harbour Views

Lovely large room. Loved the extra touch with bottles of New Forrest spring water. Super comfy bed. The included breakfast was excellent - cooked to order and the views across the Poole Harbour just wonderful. Staff warm and helpful.
