The worst experience with dirty rooms and left over food

Nothing

Every thing. The room smelled so bad that we couldnt stay there. We changed 2 rooms and they had the same smell. They annoy passengers and they have air conditioner that works with the coty air. All hotels have a really warm hotel but this hotel even doesnt think about it. Clean? They didnt even think or care about it. The payment is not worth to stay there. The bathroom was dirtier than none of the hotels where i had experience and the food is a left over food. We didnt like our experience in this hotel.

Very nice

We were contacted regarding transportation and other matters, and upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and adequate. The location was close to everything. Breakfast was delicious. Tea and coffee were available in the lobby. Free internet access was available. We were pleased with both the hotel and the staff. We would choose this hotel again.

A nice hotel with a typical standard, located in the city center. Delicious breakfasts with a wide selection. Great location.

Very small rooms and no kettle or tea in the room. There’s hot water available pn the reception desk, but you have to buy your own tea. There’s also no fridge in the room.

Clean, modern, upscale hotel in a convenient location for travel to and from Zurich HB.

Great location, very convenient short walk to Zurich HB. Modern, clean, well-appointed rooms. Nice workout gym and sauna facilities. The hotel was great about providing a half-day of secure luggage storage after we checked out so that we could do some sightseeing before departing Zürich.

Marginal to non-existent air conditioning. Opening the window (which allegedly shuts off whatever central air conditioning flow there is) is the most effective way to cool the room. The toilet is behind a separate door in its own “closet”, which seems a bit claustrophobic.

The hotel was big, and the lobby and restaurant are great to hang out.

The beds!!!!! They are so uncomfortable. You can tell that the matrass is old as you sink in the middle.

Friendly staff, but cleanliness needs improvement

The location and the colour scheme of the room and WC

The check-in staff were very friendly and informative, and the front desk service was excellent. However, I was extremely disappointed with the housekeeping. A used condom was found on the floor near the bed, which was very unhygienic and unacceptable. This issue seriously affected my overall impression of the hotel. I hope the management takes this matter seriously and improves the cleanliness standards for future guests.

Stylish and Suited Us

Stylish, well run and conveniently located hotel. Though a bit expensive, it was good for us to have the restaurant and bar in situ. The manager there was very customer friendly - thank you!

I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding both a theft from my room and, more importantly, the shocking and unprofessional behavior of one of your reception staff. After discovering that my Samsung earpods were stolen from my room today around 11 AM, I approached the front desk to report the matter. While I expected assistance and professionalism, instead I was met with complete disrespect by your receptionist, Hicham. Hicham raised his voice at me in front of other guests. He aggressively slapped his name tag on the desk in a confrontational manner. He dismissively told me to “go to the police,” as if theft inside your hotel is not your concern. To make matters worse, he remarked that an “emergency is only if someone dies at the hotel.” This behavior is not only unprofessional, it is insulting and completely unacceptable for a hospitality brand such as Ibis. A guest reporting theft deserves empathy, support, and a sense of security—not hostility and rudeness.

Adequate stay - no kettle/fridge in room - good location

Good gym, sauna and relatively convenient location. The staff were lovely and the housekeeping were phenomenal. Due to no fridges in room, medication we were carrying was required to be refrigerated downstairs but the staff were accommodating

Rooms were on the cramped side especially when traveling with bags and No fridge or kettle/tea/coffee facilities in the room created a more difficult and slightly uncomfortable stay. The air conditioning isn’t a traditional reverse cycle style and relied more on ambient air and due to the heatwave the rooms were quite uncomfortably warm even though set to -3 the open style shower was difficult to navigate while traveling with a companion

Location was very central. The check-in and check out process was smooth. The staff was also very nice.

I know it’s a budget hotel but the room was too small even for that and the really off putting thing was the bathroom was not separate. I saw that in the pictures but I didn’t believe it would be this much hassle.

The hotel was located close to the main station.

Basic amenities were not provided in the room - no kettle, coffee machine or even a bottle of water. Extremely small dustbin in the living room only making it extremely unhygienic.

Just alright

Bed was alright however just 1 pillow provided which is insufficient.

No privacy to the shower area. Transparent glass shower screen located just next to the basin. The 2 single beds keep parting away and it's annoying. No kettle provided have to go down to lobby and boil everytime. As we do not have thermos, paper cup was the only thing provided and have to held it until you reach the room which is utmost inconvenient. Room was warm as well as no air con and as the room was quite low (5th floor), max is 6th floor, the noise can be heard when you leave the window open for air.

Good choice for lower budget

Amazingly efficient and friendly staff. Nice modern rooms. Window that can open. Good shower. Big bed. Electric shutters on windows. Plenty of room for storage. Lots of power outlets spread around the room. Great bar downstairs where you can get coffee, etc. 10 minute walk from the train station.

Wifi is completely open, so no security, and 4G/5G was bad in my room. No mini-bar/fridge. Open cupboards. Isolation on doors not great, so can hear people in the corridor, especially the cleaners in the morning. 15 minute walk to get to main Zurich centre.
