Cute and charming

Super cute and nice guesthouse. The owners are so nice and friendly. They have lots of great information about things to do and see in the area. Breakfast was amazing and our room was very nice and styled in Bavarian fashion. We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to coming back

Everything!! The host was very nice and welcoming. The place and the rooms are very well maintained, the German design makes it the perfect place to live the whole Bavaria experience and breakfast was always fresh.

I would say that parking would be an issue depending on the season.

The owner of the guest house is very friendly. On the last day, I had to leave early in the morning to catch the train. She had prepared breakfast for my way. The room and the bathroom were clean and the breakfast was very good. The guest house is perfect for solo travelers.

Alpine flair meets hospitality

The guest house was within walking distance of the city center. The host was friendly and accommodating. From the check-in, the small room in the style typical of the Alps with lots of wood, to the rich breakfast, everything was good.

The room was small and the bed could have been a little more comfortable and a little bigger. The bathroom is a bit outdated for my taste. However, this should not detract from the stay for a few nights. The price-performance ratio was good, I cannot and would not complain.

Wonderful Gästehaus and location in Garmisch!

The Gästehaus was beautiful and spotless. The rooms stayed pretty cool even though it was hot the week we were in town. The owners were very helpful and made our stay perfect. Was a great location, easy walk to the downtown area.

There was nothing we didn't like about the Gästehaus.

Traditional, cosy, perfect

The owners were extremely helpful, friendly, discreet and in general very pleasant people. The room was cosy and old-fashioned in the nicest way possible. The view from the breakfast area was so lovely, and a little romantic with the small fireplace next to us. Very decent breakfast and coffee. and also the location wasn't exactly in the center so it was also quiet. Very traditional overall and the exact opposite of a faceless big hotel. We visited in winter and it made the experience so much better.

The pillows were huge for my liking, but I could have asked for a smalle one. We had the room next to the cleaning closet, so if you stay in the room after breakfast, you can hear lots of cleaning happening but nothing too loud or annoying. Can't say anything really negative, really.

This will always be my first choice for Garmisch lodging.

Beautiful! At the base of a mountain with great views of the Zugspitze and the Kramer. Super clean and recently renovated. The breakfast is awesome and you dine while viewing the Zugspitze and Kramer. The staff is excellent and welcoming. They make you feel like you are in your home. They speak fluent English as well for non-German speakers. The rooms are large and well furnished, decorated in typical Bavarian style. The location is perfectly set between Garmisch and the U.S. Installation. Just a quick beautiful 10 minute walk in either direction to exceptional restaurants and attractions. I visit Garmisch often and lived there for two years. Gästehaus Maria will always be my first choice for lodging in the future.

Super schöner Urlaub im Haus Maria

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr tolle Gastgeber und immer wieder mit einem Tipp zu Ausflügen bereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir hatten alles was man braucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Frühstück war gut mit verschiedenen Angeboten, auch frischem Obst und Gemüse. Als wir einmal zum Frühstück nicht kommen konnten, haben wir ein tolles Lunchpaket bekommen mit den unterschiedlichsten Sachen darin.
